Weird Things Going on with Rep I don't care too much about this but I thought you should know... Earlier today, or maybe it was yesterday all my rep listed at the bottom of my usercp turned to the neutral color but it still said I had 176 positive. Then, today, I noticed that it now says I have 1 positive, but all them are still of the neutral type and none seem to have disappeared. Also, on my profile instead of having two green cards, I now have one. I didn't do anything, at least that I know of. And I haven't received any messages from mods or the like. Like I said weird stuff.

Re: Statistic: Reps as a % of Total Posts The rep system is just a way to show someone they did a great post. Neg rep = stupid post , Or a dumb post . But other than that , rep is as meaningful as my online blog , I don't think everyone cares for it but it feels nice getting pos rep for well deserved post.

Neg reps usually just result in a retaliatory one anyway, unless you're dealing with an obviously disabled person like IntheNet. Maybe this new system is just a way to get the rep-seekers to grovel before the mods. I know I'm cherishing that 1 point I have for smooching some mod butt a couple years back... Seriously though, I don't give a crap about the point total, but those little gray nipples are just so...drab. Bring back the green, if nothing else.

In the end, its nice to recieve, it's nice to see the comments associated with it, its nice to a post you really enjoy with another poster beating you to it by writing "repped" at the bottom of that post - its fun, nothing more. There was no reason to take it away or reset it!! NONE! Not happy at all...please stop changing this sight!

Re: Weird Things Going on with Rep Thanks, I didn't think to check the general customer service forum because I thought it was a bug. I guess I should check the official blog out more. You think for a larger change like this they could post it somewhere more obvious. The Customer Service forum feels like the bowels of the boards. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't read the blog. Thanks for the heads up though.

Re: Weird Things Going on with Rep Either way, the rep system is not working. If I rep someone, it says I already gave them rep when I never have done so. Work it out or take it out. Make it a non-issue.

At the current state, it is not working, be it a bug or a "we are working on it' deal. We need to let the admins know it. It's not so much that we want it, but moreover the fact that we click on it...for whatever reason...and it does not work. I knew this was a dead issue when Jesse listened to a suggestion from Knave.

I wonder how many people have neg-repped a legitimate negative post, only to get 25 of the receiver's buddies teaming up to neg-rep that guy? My two cents? Get rid of the neg rep and the points. Leave it as a way to say "I'm so-and-so, and I approve this post."
