Black & Azul Episode 3, with promise of post-Montreal analysis, and discussion of white supremacists within NYCFC supporter ranks. Haven't watched yet.
At the bottom of the screen is an SSV Community Foundation Scarf. 37 minutes: This week we talk about the Quakes season opener with the Montreal Impact, post-match statements from Guram Kashia and Matias Almeyda, a preview of the Minnesota United FC match, fascist fan infiltration with NYCFC, and we address the p-chant at Avaya Stadium.
Wherever I go on the internet, I keep getting pop-up ads promoting the Quakes game against LAFC on March 30 -- featuring the face of the franchise.
I get it! Magnus. LAFC. The shaved head will be irresistible to Bob Bradley! Straight up deal for Vela.
We're not crying, you're crying... Congratulations to Mallory Wayman, our 2019 Bay Area All-Star Scholarship Team recipient from Ann Sobrato High School! #BAASST pic.twitter.com/fqDcgZMP0D— San Jose Earthquakes (@SJEarthquakes) March 13, 2019 GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
The Quakes are supposedly having viewings at Avaya of all the Women's World Cup matches. https://www.sjearthquakes.com/post/...men-s-world-cup-viewing-parties-avaya-stadium Fine, as far as that goes, but what about a viewing party of this weekend's Quakes game at the Red Bulls match? Also, how are the Quakes going to invite the public in for games on the morning of, and starting at noon, on June 8, when they are scheduled to host FC Dallas that same day starting at 12:30 p.m. in Avaya?
You think it's rough-and-tumble on BigSoccer? You ain't seen nothing. A couple unpaid Quakes correspondents are figuratively at each other's throats. In chronological order: (1) http://www.quakesfan.com/2019/03/11/whats-going-on/ (2) 1105263803619569664 is not a valid tweet id (3) http://www.quakesfan.com/2019/03/12/lets-talk-racism-and-soccer/ We need a win in the worst way.
A little too much political correctness in my opinion. Quakesfan last year pointed out our Euro players weren't cutting it, and this time he mentioned our Latin players. I had more of a problem with some of his analysis. For one, at two games into the season it is a bit premature, let's give them a bit more time. And you can't point to the pass completion percentage as proof that certain players aren't cutting it. You can have a very high percentage if you do nothing but make the easy pass and are never trying to unlock the defense. And pointing out that Vako was dispossessed multiple times could also mean that he was at least trying to make something happen. He is a good dribbler so I expect him to take on defenders, and I expect that there will be times when he is stripped of the ball. It is similar to Espinoza sending crosess into the box and losing possession that way.
JT Marcinkowski and Jackson Yueill called up to USMNT under 23 camp. (Credit to Quakes reddit board). https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/20...-named-to-roster-for-first-2019-training-camp
Anybody check out the latest power rankings? 24 - San Jose Earthquakes (24). Really, after what they did last year, we are really running out of ways to describe how inept they are. https://www.google.com/url?rct=j&sa...W46VVM&usg=AFQjCNEmb6_lkRYhx-4oK81KdfRCoSveIQ Our suckage is truly epic...
It was announced today that Reno 1868 signed Quake's draft picks Rivas and Aune. My question is, why now? Did either player practice with them or was this just a request by SJ to stash some bodies on the Reno roster so they can do a loan if players get hurt or leave? Neither player was ever spotted training with the Quakes in preseason and when Reno had the split squad scrimmage right before the season started, there were several trialists that played but I didn't see Rivas or Aune there. So did they just show up and get a contract or did the Quakes/Reno do their due diligence?
We had to switch to totally miserable (but more expensive) seats at Buck Shaw mid-season 2012 to improve our selection priority at Avaya. The promised land seemed so close. Who would have guessed...
To be fair, it's a Rotten Robbie promotion, not a Quakes promotion. The gas station chain may have paid for the tickets and can give them away if it likes. But the Quakes should not be pimping it on their own social media site. It's disrespectful to the paying customers.
I just have to accept the fact that the Quakes decision making process is something I’ll rarely agree with. It makes no sense to get upset about this stuff anymore.
It's a sponsor promotion giving out 100 free tickets over the course of the rest of the season. An average of 5-6 per game. This is not something to worry about.
