Vietnam looking pretty good in early minutes against Iraq. Their passing in midfield to attack is surgical although they cant find a final shot. They're getting out muscled too easily but anyone's game. Park really did quite a job.

Sick passing in attack leads to goal off lucky deflection in final touch I think. That was no fluke though. They've been passing like that in midfield under pressure. It's quite amazing to see actually.

Sports Sina, which is the Chinese equivalent of Naver Sports or Daum Sports, is filled with these types of articles. The Chinese neitizens are also pretty delusional in this site. Remember reading someone's comment that said Son Heung-min thrives at Tottenham only because he has world class teammates and that Wu Lei would be just as good lmao.

If Wu Lei ever moves to Europe, I would love to see him become Du Wei 2.0 (the guy who lasted 45 minutes at Celtic before being sent back to China)

Wu Lei is a very fine player. He would have difficulties in a top league tho. Plus he's honestly the one threat from the Chinese NT. Let them be delusional. We know we're a top dawg in Asia, and they're insecure about it.

That was a soft foul. Vietnam player slap/grab at back of Iraqi top of box in dying minutes and concedes a FK and goal. Tough loss for Vietnam but they need to be to be tougher, meaner at this level. They're too nice.

You guys imagine having 25 times the population & millions if not billions more dollars of investment and still not producing a single player than can make the KNT/JNT/ANT bench. Id become salty and delusional too. Not to mention Chinese media, or any Asian media barring maybe Korean and Taiwanese is pure shittery. The single way China plays catchup to Korea in the tech world is spying and prying away talent so I wouldn’t be surprised if they started attempting to naturalize some of our guys in the future.

Iraq is a decent team though with players who can score which is quite amazing in and of itself. Vietnam should be proud of how their game held up against decent opposition. The passing in traffic in midfield was downright artful and they were composed and organized in defense even in spite of letting in those 3 goals. Vietnam showed their inexperience though by being too honest, too respectful of opposition and the biased ref. They needed a Lee Eul Yong and a Lee Seungwoo and complained about some of those calls especially that last foul.

Looking forward to the Iraq v Iran though. That is going to be a fun game.

Man, Verbeek is looking more older than Hiddink. Still, it's good to see Bear Bag again.
