Also from that link (and some paywalled articles): Maria Thorisdottir is very likely going to Chelsea.

Yeah, that was an external stream, but not on Dagbladet.

A true cup drama for those who saw the game. I only saw the shoot-out.

Klepp vs Avaldsnes 1-1 a.e.t. (4-5 on pens)
    1-0 Tameka Butt 72
    1-1 Nathalie Utvik 90

Fran, Pedersen, Ryland, Thorsnes, Andreia Rosa scored for Avaldsnes. Tuva Hansen, Yallop, Ims and Thorisdottir scored for Klepp. Tameka Butt missed.

    Semi-finals (30 September):
    Vålerenga vs LSK Kvinner
    Avaldsnes vs Arna Bjørnar

The equalizer came in the 96th minute, actually. Poor Klepp, the ref whistled the match off right after that.
You also seem to have added a couple of goals!

Speaking of Thorisdottir, that was a pretty impressive penalty.

Toppserien's 16th matchday brought us another goal-bonanza after weeks of goaldroughts.

    Medkila vs LSK Kvinner 0-6
0-1 Sophie Haug (Guro Reiten) 7
0-2 Guro Reiten (Sophie Haug) 37
0-3 Ryoko Takara (Guro Reiten) 42
0-4 Sophie Haug (Emilie Woldvik) 77
0-5 Sophie Haug (Emilie Woldvik) 81
0-6 Sophie Haug (Synne Skinnes Hansen) 86
LSK's biggest ever away win in Toppserien. Playing 120 mins in the cup against Stabæk in the midweek didn't set them back much. Medkila had little to offer against the champions. Full of confidence, LSK also decided to field a reserve goalkeeper for this match. Four goals from the teenage power forward Sophie Haug, including a hat-trick in nine minutes. Eight of Haug's ten goals in Toppserien this season have come against the two bottom Northern teams. Medkila's last lifeline is coming up next week, Grand Bodø away - a must-win game.

    Kolbotn vs Stabæk 0-2
0-1 Synne Jensen (Andrea Wilmann) 28
    0-2 Andrea Wilmann 39
With the recent departures of Isaksen and Maanum, the Stabæk midfield has been reshuffled. Synne Jensen has begun to blossom in her new #10-role behind Melissa Bjånesøy, making much more impact than on the wing. She scored against LSK in the cup match and once again today against Kolbotn. But on this day, Andrea Wilmann was the star of the match. She scored a fine solo goal which put the game beyond Kolbotn. Thumbs up also to Kolbotn keeper Aurora Mikalsen who pulled off one of the best saves of the season towards the end. Stabæk only trail Avaldsnes by one point now for that other CL-spot.

    Røa vs Trondheims-Ørn 4-1
0-1 Maria Olsvik (Julie Adserø) 30
1-1 Lisa Marie Utland (Rebecka Holum) 47
2-1 Rebecka Holum (Lisa Marie Utland) 50
    3-1 Therese S. Åsland (Rebecka Holum) 58
    4-1 Rebecka Holum (Therese S. Åsland) 78
This was a classic "game of two halves". Røa were struggling a goal down in the first half, but when coach Geir Nordby introduced new signing Rebecka Holum after the interval, the furtunes turned. The 20 year-old signed from Level 2 club Byåsen, was highly involved in all four goals as Røa demolished Ørn in the second half.

Arna Bjørnar vs Grand Bodø 5-2
    0-1 Anne-Marthe Birkeland (Synnøve Hafnor) 2
1-1 Karoline Haugland (Emilie Nautnes) 20
2-1 Karoline Haugland (Josee Nahi) 25
2-2 Synnøve Hafnor (Amalie Johnsen) 30
    3-2 Cecilie R. Kvamme (Karoline Haugland) 37
    4-2 Lisa Naalsund 53
    5-2 Amalie Johnsen 66 (own-goal)
Just a few days after putting five past Grand Bodø in the NM Cup, Arna Bjørnar did it again in Toppserien. This was A-B's first win in four matches in the league. A-B rested goalkeeper Giannetti and winger Eikeland for this match. Karoline Haugland, a much used substitute, got a rare chance to start and made the most out of it with two goals and an assist. Lisa Naalsund scored a brilliant dribbling solo-goal.

    Sandviken vs Vålerenga 2-0
    1-0 Sina Tosterud 3
2-0 Camilla Ervik (Madeleine Veivåg) 88
The most surprising scoreline of the weekend. Vålerenga have been on a good run lately, but were outfought at Stemmemyren by a strong Sandviken team, currently on a five game unbeaten run. Struggling before the summer break, Sandviken have now put nine points between themselves and the play-off spot at the bottom. Both Tosterud and Ervik scored their first goals this season. Vålerenga now look forward to Saturday when they play the inaugural game at the new Vålerenga stadium.

If it's a must-win, it will be won! :sneaky:

Meanwhile, congratulations to Ryoko Takara for being back starting and scoring a goal. :p

Maria Thorisdottir has signed for Chelsea. Transfer fee was roughly €11,000 with a possible loan deal of a Chelsea player going the opposite way to Klepp.

Not a particularly good day at work yesterday for the people responsible for the live coverage. Both matches messed up by poor camera work and non-existent streams. The top teams still won two rather easy wins after killing the matches early.

Actually Guro Reiten's goal scene, with the pair of opponent DFs sliding away in opposite directions was quite hilarious!

No time to rest on the laurels these days. Another full matchday in Toppserien coming up this weekend. Three matches in particular look interesting and they all kick-off at the same time. Vålerenga will open their new stadium against Kolbotn. LSK Kvinner take on Røa which can be a possible pitfall for them. The league needs a Røa win. And of course the battle of the north with so much at stake; Grand Bodø v Medkila.

Toppserien 2017. Matchday 17. A bunch of blow-out scorelines brought the goal tally to 29 this weekend. The top teams are flexing muscles and the mid-table is getting tighter.

    Vålerenga vs Kolbotn 2-0
    1-0 Stephanie Verdoia 43
2-0 Elise Krieghoff (Gunnhildur Jonsdottir) 46
More than 3500 supporters turned up for the Vålerenga stadium inaugural game with a large group of them being singing hardcore fans for the men's team, which made the attendance sound three times as much. Vålerenga dominated the entire game. Verdoia scored her first goal this season, a cracking shot from distance. Kolbotn are in big trouble now and can fall down to the play-off spot if Grand Bodø win their game in hand.

    LSK Kvinner vs Røa 6-1
0-1 Rebecka Holum (Gunhild Herregården) 21
    1-1 Guro Reiten 44 (pen)
2-1 Sophie Haug (Synne Skinnes Hansen) 57
    3-1 Guro Reiten 59
4-1 Marte Berget (Ingrid Spord) 76
    5-1 Guro Reiten 77
    6-1 Emilie Woldvik 90
Such a weird game. Very tight and even in the first half, and then the LSK machine just demolished Røa in the second half after coming from behind. Guro Reiten is blossoming into the best player in the league - a hat-trick today. I wonder if this is her first and only season at LSK before going abroad. Young full-back Emilie Woldvik scored her first ever goal in Toppserien, a real belter as icing on the cake right on full time. Isabell Bachor received her third booking and will sit out the next game with suspension.

    Stabæk vs Arna Bjørnar 3-3
0-1 Amalie Eikeland (Emilie Nautnes) 25
0-2 Josee Nahi (Amalie Eikeland) 27
1-2 Melissa Bjånesøy (Heidi Ellingsen) 56
2-2 Andrea Wilmann (Synne Jensen) 58
3-2 Rebecca Mykland (Heidi Ellingsen) 88
    3-3 Siri Nordeide Grønli 90 (own-goal)
I've lost count how many times Arna Bjørnar have thrown away two-goal leads this season. Today it happened again, but thankfully a late equalizer helped them salvage a point in this highly entertaining game with several great goals. A-B are one of the most disappointing teams after the summer break. Stabæk are hanging on after losing key players in the transfer window. Synne Jensen is reborn, Heidi Ellingsen and Andrea Wilmann have stepped up with more responsibility and game time, and Stabæk can challenge Avaldsnes for that second CL-spot now.

    Grand Bodø vs Medkila 4-0
    1-0 Vilde Fjelldal 26
    2-0 Anne-Marthe Birkeland 39
3-0 Trine Skjelstad Jensen (Line Danielsen) 61
4-0 Trine Skjelstad Jensen (Line Danielsen) 65
I'm calling it with five matchdays to go: Grand Bodø put the final nail in the coffin for Medkila today. They'll need a crowbar to get out, and they don't have that in their toolset. Mathematically it's still possible to stay up for Medkila, but nothing so far indicates they'll find the strength to do so. The new signings haven't sparked them off, and the coaching team don't seem to find an answer. The player material is young and immature. This win even puts Grand Bodø in a good position to end up on safe ground on the table. Who would have thought that? Both Medkila and GB have Kolbotn left on the fixture list.

    Avaldsnes vs Sandviken 6-0
    1-0 Luana Bertolucci 13
    2-0 Stine Hovland 19 (own-goal)
3-0 Cecilie Pedersen (Luana Bertolucci) 25
4-0 Cecilie Pedersen (Emily Gielnik) 54
    5-0 Elise Thorsnes 72
6-0 Luana Bertolucci (Emily Gielnik) 73
Just like LSK, Avaldsnes have raised their game after the summer break. They set the mark with early goals and control the game afterwards. Avaldsnes cash in points often thanks to a bigger squad with good players on the bench who come in and do their bit. The weaker clubs don't have that luxury. Still, it was a surprise to see Sandviken lose by six goals after their fine performances in recent weeks. Luana Bertolucci had a particularly good game today. Her playmaking skills are much needed in the weeks to come as Avaldsnes still compete in three tournaments.

    Trondheims-Ørn vs Klepp 3-1
1-0 Rakel Engesvik (Kristin Jørgensen) 10
2-0 Rakel Engesvik (Tina Fremo) 33
3-0 Elen Melhus (Oda Fugelsnes) 60
3-1 Tameka Butt (Gry Tofte Ims) 89
Ørn have been excellent after the summer break. I didn't see that coming. After all, they lost Lisa Marie Utland and Guro Reiten before this season, the current top two players on the scoring charts, but others have stepped up in their absence. Rakel Engesvik is one of the break-through players of the season in Toppserien. Seven goals and two assists from midfield is very good for a player often used in rotation in a team below mid-table. Klepp missed Maria Thorisdottir at the back. Their defence's lack of pace was exposed time and again, also on the goals.

Sob, goodbye! :( These have been three incredible seasons in First Division. Now Polar Circle has new queens: respect to them. :notworthy:

It's a shame, Medkila pre-season had suggested very different hopes... We're going to see if they're able to come back right away, in the next one.

Sure did. I thought Tiff McCarty was going to make a difference, but she didn't. Then also struggled with injuries and left. Big injury problems in spring season must also be taken into account when reviewing their season. Outfield players in goal and a 47 year old coach starting games...

Three teams are now fighting for survival: Kolbotn (9 pts, 18 matches), Grand Bodø (8 pts, 17 matches) and Medkila (2 pts, 17 matches). One spot is safe ground, one is play-off and one is relegation. These are the remaining matches for all three teams:

    Kolbotn:
    H vs Trondheims-Ørn
    H vs LSK Kvinner
    A vs Medkila
    H vs Grand Bodø

    Grand Bodø:
    A vs Røa
    H vs Klepp
    A vs Sandviken
    H vs Vålerenga
    A vs Kolbotn

    Medkila:
    A vs Arna Bjørnar
    H vs Røa
    A vs Klepp
    H vs Kolbotn
    A vs Avaldsnes

Medkila have the toughest programme left. Four matches against current Top 6 teams, three of them away. With the kind of season Medkila have had, it's hard to stay positive on their behalf. The match between Kolbotn and Grand on the last day could be like a cup final with the play-off spot going to the loser.

If it helps, they have a fun logo! The text at the top translates to "A friend for life!", which I think is pretty cool. :)

Arna-Bjørnar doing Bergen team things, I see. Brann's also been wasting points all season; I saw a table where they counted points in the 85th minute, and on that one Brann was on top by a fairly solid margin.

The World Cup qualifiers kicked off today with a predictable win and one-way traffic, but good to finally win a match again - and score some goals.

    Norway vs Northern Ireland 4-1
1-0 Guro Reiten (Emilie Haavi) 15
    2-0 Caroline Hansen 45+3 (pen)
3-0 Lisa Marie Utland (Caroline Hansen) 52
3-1 Caragh Milligan (Rachel Furness) 89
    4-1 Guro Reiten 90+2

Norway (4-2-3-1): Ingrid Hjelmseth - Ingrid Moe Wold (Andrine Tomter 84), Stine Reinås, Maria Thorisdottir, Kristine Minde - Maren Mjelde, Ingrid Spord (Frida Maanum 73) - Caroline Graham Hansen, Guro Reiten, Emilie Haavi (Elise Thorsnes 58) - Lisa-Marie Utland.

I suppose highlights of the match will pop up somewhere soon.

Yeah, 4-1 was on the low end of what it should have been. So much possession on the opponents' half, so many half chances, but much sloppy finishing. NI parked the bus also. It was the sort of game Ada would score four goals in had she been here.

Martin Sjögren surprised us all with a new formation. The 4-4-2 diamond formation from the Euros was replaced by a 4-2-3-1 with wide players again which we missed this summer. Slovakia is next on Tuesday. Hope for better efficiency in front of goal then.

    Another World Cup qualifier tonight:

    Norway vs Slovakia 6-1
1-0 Lisa Marie Utland (Stine Reinås) 4
2-0 Elise Thorsnes (Lisa Marie Utland) 9
3-0 Guro Reiten (Kristine Minde) 21
4-0 Caroline Hansen (Guro Reiten) 27
    5-0 Maren Mjelde 37 (pen)
    6-0 Caroline Hansen 42 (pen)
    6-1 Klaudia Fabova 55

Line-up (4-2-3-1): Ingrid Hjelmseth - Ingrid Moe Wold, Stine Reinås, Maria Thorisdottir, Kristine Minde - Maren Mjelde, Ingrid Spord (Synne Skinnes Hansen 70) - Caroline Hansen (Emilie Haavi 82), Elise Thorsnes, Guro Reiten (Frida Maanum 70) - Lisa Marie Utland.

A very good first half was followed up by a very poor second half. At one stage I thought our 17-0 goalscoring record against Slovakia from 1995 was going to be under attack, but Slovakia won the second half and it wasn't undeserved. You can't ease off and expect to win easily at this level, even against Slovakia. They had some decent players after all.

    Bring on the Dutchies!

the game today was so characteristic for what's been our problem for a long time lol, being inconsistent as hell

the team looks ironically better without Hegerberg today imo, but probably because the competition wasn't at the same level as the teams we met in the euro (yet we lost the 2nd half, hmmm)

Ada was back in Norway during this international break also - to do a photo shoot up in Lofoten.

But Isabell Herlovsen will be back for the game against Netherlands in October according to Sjögren. Her come-back is much needed.

The qualifiers for the U17 Euros got underway this week. Norway is in a preliminary group with only Eastern European teams, and all games are played in Hungary. First game today:

    Norway vs Moldova 9-0

60 attempts, 22 on target, 25 off, 13 blocked and three against the woodwork. o_O (Moldova's senior team lost 12-0 to Belgium the other day..)

Norway play Bulgaria on September 25 and hosts Hungary on the 28th.
