weird but I kinda get why they banned it. allowing that kind of plate would totally be a slippery slope. right, hobo?
Given the age we live in, he's probably better off, as his car is likely to be thrashed by some people who think he is a white supremacist!!
And the one or two Fulham fans who would know - wouldn’t be offended... But I agree - if I’m DMV - that gets a ‘no’
In CA - they ask you what it means when you apply for "personalized" plates...and they don't allow anything that could be taken as "offensive"...
same thing applies here in Ontario. every request for a personalized plate is looked at very closely - including scans of every language to ensure nobody's trying to sneak in something - to avoid plates that would insult others, send a political message (FUKUTRUMP works for me), be abusive or sexual in nature, etc etc. the list is pretty long. there was an amusing story a little while back about a guy somewhere in eastern Canada who sued because they wouldn't issue a plate in his name - ASSMAN.
They wouldn't let him have the plate so he painted the tailgate of his pickup just like a plate instead.
I asked for Master Bates - a character from the classic tv series "The Onedin Line" but they wouldn't give it to me.... can't fathom why....
Any lawyers on here care to explain what difference it makes that the British Authorities have to make the flimsy "broke his bail" conditions and arrest Assange in order for the US (scum)Authorities to try to extradite him. Surely, if he was walking down the street the US could still issue the same extradition request through Interpol, etc...?? What exactly is the driving force behind this need to arrest him first?? I don't get it. If Edward Snowden flew into Britain tomorrow he wouldn't have broken any laws and would be walking freely around Piccadily, if he wished to, but there would surely be a rapid extradition request from the citadel of lies, and he would be apprehended and then bailed while he fought an extradition case... Surely this is all correct...?
RIP Tommy Iron Man Smith. I went to see him at Goodison with my Granddad when England played Scotland in a U 18 match. He stood out then. One of our greats.

My 17 year old granddaughter is on her way home to Shanghai from the Beijing APAC games with 2 golds and a Silver medal. We're pretty proud of her. I recon it's in the genes tho. Or Jeans maybe. A near tie for the record in Javelin. A new record for the Shotput and a close second in the Discus. She'll be coming stateside (some DC college) for a Volley ball camp this summer. Meeting the family here in Oregon before heading back. The camp is a big one that will have scouts watching. She runs the early morning practice sessions for girls and boys at SAS. Her Mum is hoping she'll be noticed by one of the scouts. She can't afford to pay the scouts $500K. And she does know what shape the ball is.
This is my 4th time visiting the UK and I must say that I've been blown away by how much I love it here. I don't know if it's because this is my 1st time coming solo (so I got to make all the decisions) but it's been great. Everyone is really nice, the cities/towns are beautiful, and people actually drive SO MUCH better than Americans. If only it wasn't so bloody cold (for my Texan ass)...
You you could move to North Dakota. First American I've found that has leart the art of driving in England. There is a system. Well done all around.
