Canales gets the start for Spain against Australia.

Day-um, Spain go up 1-0 in the second minute, Roberto the goalscorer.

Double day-um, Spain score again...Vazquez in the 6th minute.

I'm done, 19 minutes into the first half Spain is up 4-0...Vazquez with the hattrick already

Has Espanyol promoted this kid to the first team?

Th commentator for the Australia v. Spain game is sooooooooo boring. Most monotone voice i'v ever heard.

Edit: Australia scores but I doubt it'll matter.

Australia were just way out of their depth here against Spain.

As a Lebanese-Australian, it pains me to see the Australian youth teams getting hammered these past few tournaments (under 20 and 17 level) given so much money was spent by the FFA on hiring some no-name Dutch guys to help develop our players.

This is the most useless international date on the entire calendar.

They couldn't lump them into another window? Wasn't there just window that was comprised of friendlies?

So apparently Benzie injured his ankle during training with the French NT today and couldn't continue. He's going to stay with the team though so maybe it isn't all that serious.

You guys haven't discussed this yet?

The veteran centre-back has decided to stand down from Portugal duty as he claims he was treated in a disrespectful way by the national team
I dono how much truth there is in this... Quiting the team because your not a starter against the all mighty Cyprus? Thats a crybaby move, that doesn't sound like Carvalho, maybe there is more to this...

Argentina will play in my hometown tomorrow. I don't understand what is the logic to make such a match in week day !!!. My office is 10 minutes away from the stadium but I won't get time to watch the match.

Also, may be I don't want to make time. There will be more than 100000 people crying for Messi and my little Pipita/Angel -ish cheer wont be audible :( .

What a nice free kick goal by Canales! He looks very comfortable pulling the strings for our U21. Granted, the opposition is very weak (Spain is up 0-6 at Georgia in the 40th minute).

EDIT: Good game for Canales. The commentators spent quite a bit of time discussing him and how he has regained an air of confidence to his play. Nice to see. Hope he gets his playing time at Valencia.

Is the same air of confidence that gets sapped out of 1 in 2 of the new signings. Benzema, Kaka, Sneijder, it happens to the best of them.

Jose Antonio Camacho maintains his perfect record as head coach for China.

All Real Madrid defenders looking terrible for Spain right now. Down 2-0, looking slow and lacking ideas. Ramos with a yellow already and looks off the pace.

Real Madrid front 3 really tore it up today. Cristiano Ronaldo, Ozil and Benzema, they can score even on their NT teams :D

Speaking of defending, did you see the fight at the end? Iniesta gets in an scuffle with a player, Arbeloa races over to defend him by shoving a player. Arbeloa then gets in a fight and Busquets races over to defend him. I guess the Classico's didn't damage team spirit :p

Why did Ronaldo get a yellow card after his second goal?

UEFA gave Klose the first goal, really should be Özil's.
