I have no faith in the Republican Party anymore. The people in the party are only concerned with maintaining power so they can placate religious conservatives and allow them to discriminate against people who aren't white, straight, Christian, well off financially, and those who had the misfortune to be born without a penis. And anyone who disagrees with Republicans and are vocal about it run the risk of being shot by their gun-loving fanatics who are just as likely to make a pilgrimage to the grave of Timothy McVeigh as they are to go to a national military cemetery.

I'm concerned too that even if the cabal of idiots in the current administration are forced to resign or convicted of wrong-doing, what are the institutions like? We know the Secretary of State and Attorney General (and probably the Vice President) are as crooked as a day is long. Are the underlings who work for them in those agencies of the same mindset? Have most of the 'good' men and women that used to occupy their positions in previous administrations stuck around, or have they retired or quit in disgust? The more I hear about the allegations against the President, seeing how he's behaving and reacting, and the polls showing the adulation and high esteem Republican voters have for him, the more I'm convinced this President won't be removed from office through the impeachment process. In effect, the United States will be seriously boned by its own people.

    There are no rules.

So Dems need to win and then do some untraceable skullduggery against Republicans and their interests. Lessons must be taught.

It is all there...They don't even use suggestions or code words. Volker is not that a "good guy" either. They were all doing El Douche's bidding. Sondland, (ambassador to the EU) seems to be the point man here, no surprise, he was a big Trump donor.
Rick Wilson book title is even more relevant, Everything Trump touches die!

NPR interviewed James Melville, former ambassador to Estonia and a guy who considers Volker a friend, this morning. He sounded shaken talking about this and Volker's involvement.

This guy understands what is going on:

    https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/judge-andrew-napolitano-trump-attacks-presidency

The criminal behavior to which Trump has admitted is much more grave than anything alleged or unearthed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, and much of what Mueller revealed was impeachable.

    What has Trump admitted?

The whistleblower’s revelation caused the White House to release a near-verbatim summary of the conversation between the two presidents. By releasing it, Trump has admitted to its accuracy. In it, Trump asked Zelensky for dirt on former Vice President Joe Biden, who at this writing is Trump's likely Democratic opponent in the 2020 presidential election.

Trump also admits to holding up $391 million in aid to Ukraine – $250 million in the purchase of already approved and built military hardware and $141 million in a congressionally authorized grant. This is aid that Trump's own secretaries of state and defense, his own director of national intelligence and director of the CIA, and his own National Security Council unanimously asked him to release.

Trump has also admitted to accusing the as-yet publicly unnamed whistleblower of treason, and suggesting that the whistleblower and those who have helped him are spies and ought to be treated as spies were in "the old days" (Trump’s phrase) – that is, by hanging.

The president’s allusions to violence are palpably dangerous. They will give cover to crazies who crave violence, as other intemperate words of his have done. His words have already produced offers of "bounties" in return for outing and finding the whistleblower.

Trump also suggested that his impeachment would produce a second American Civil War. This language is a dog whistle to the deranged.

If Trump isn't impeached, whether he's running against Biden, Warren, or Harris, we're gonna hear "lock him/her up!"
