Maybe I was too subtle with the way I said "subtle".

Not the animals, per se. I don't like the cartoon whale. It looks a little amateurish in my humble opinion.

No, it's just on fire, which attracts orcas.

I suggested maybe a Native American art rendering as a silhouette in the crest.

I agree we don't need a Squiddley Diddley Hanna Barbera type representation.

This just in.................. Don Garber was quoted as saying "Although Orcas have a fine tradition, we are looking for something new that will have a lasting impact with the league. NO GODDAMN ORCAS!"

I agree. Leave the stars off until we win MLS Cup. Then, in 2014 for the 40th anniversary kit add the 4 USL stars to the (I'm sure) 2-3 MLS stars.

This is strictly amatuer hour, but removing the stars, and instead of the Space Needle or an orca, I dropped the symbol thingy (sorry I don't know what it is, Im an outsider) into the blank badge space:

I like the blue/green striped shirt. Add blue shorts & some green socks= great & unique look.

Alternative stripe options could be blue-white with green shorts, or green-white with blue shorts. White socks with all options. As for the badge, ditch the stars altogether. The only ball that would really be appropriate is the NASL one, a real classic, but I'd still vote for leaving that one off. And be open-minded about the shade of blue that's used - so-called "Sounder Blue" hasn't been seen on a kit, for over 20 years.

Now put the Seattle PI eagle on top of the crest and then you got a crest.[IMG]

Not crazy about the stripes. The Logo is okay, but I agree with dropping the stars and substitute the space needle. Could luck...

Wow. LOOKS AWESOME. If I was a seattle fan and that was my teams jersey I would by a box full. Definately loving the stripes and color combo. The crest looks good but it can still be made a lot better. I liked the classy Seattle FC crest that was realized a while ago.

I think this crest is just about perfect. It takes the best elements of the original crest and makes them better and removes the less appealing stuff. Very visually appealing.

if you are going to keep the stars, you should just add one in now for this years championship :)

i wouldnt worry about them myself tho, in a few years we will have so many anyway....:D

Good point, about the fifth star. The thing about the stars, for those who think they'd be confused with MLS Cup stars, is that they're IN the crest. Any MLS Cup stars would be above the crest, and gold, not white. But I agree that they should be more subtle.

Love the colors and stripes. Really unique for MLS. But the crest? Not so much. I know I don't have much room to talk being a Crew fan but the previous logos on GOALSeattle.com were way better.

That's pretty good, I like it, but my daughter says[IMG]. When I asked why, she said " it doesn't have the stars on it". Like they say, from the mouthes of babes,....
