I honestly don't worry about the Madrids and Uniteds and their managers too much. There will always be 'bigger' jobs available to Poch if he wants to move on. My concerns are about Poch and Levy, or more specifically, Poch and Spurs. If that's good, it's all good. If it goes bad, Madrid and United having managers won't keep him here. It will affect the rumor mill, 'tis true; and it's nice not having to hear about it all the time. But rumors about the likes of Poch and Kane don't concern me much. It's Poch sounding dissatisfied (not unlike post-Soton) that worries me, whatever jobs are open or not.
Well that's sorted then - United confirmed football's worst kept secret by naming OGS permanent manager and Zidane is back at Real. Good article in the Guardian describes the challenges ahead for Poch and Levy: https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...ttino-manchester-united-real-madrid-tottenham
I have a feeling OGS will be very successful over time at Man U. As I've watched the years go by I've become convinced that you NEVER want to hire a manager whose ego is bigger than the club. Every single such hire seems to fail fairly spectacularly, even if there is some initial success. I worry a small amount that Poch's ego is growing.
