Corinthians will be champions with a win on Wednesday. Sao Paulo needs 2 more points to escape relegation.
I see U-Verse is up for negotiations with Gol TV in January. FWIW, they seem to be just about the only ones left with the channel in English-language HD. http://programmingchanges.att.com
I was recently on vacation in the Tampa/St. Pete area... ... and to my surprise they had Gol TV HD in English. The provider is Spectrum. I was like this is my kinda Hotel. They also had Bein Sports, .
I have GolTV HD in English on Spectrum. It's part of the Sport Pack, which includes beIN Sports HD and Fox Soccer Plus HD. They're 1 digit away from each other in the channel listing.
I don't wish to get my hopes up, but I believe that AT&T has been negotiating renewals for UVerse and DirecTV jointly now. So if it's renewed on Uverse in HD, there's a fair chance that it could return to DirecTV in HD.
Ten years late to the online game, GolTV appears to be simulcasting its Uruguayan and Ecuadorian games on play.goltv.com. You have to register for an account but otherwise no payment or authentication is required. It also lists the Portuguese games but those appear to be available to those in Canada only. Hopefully this is the beginning of a more robust online offering.
It was a confluence of a few posts on their facebook page. One was a link to "sign up" via facebook on GolTV, even though the sign up process didn't work. And then I think I saw a promo for an Ecuadorian friendly with Eastern time and Pacific Time on the time (meaning that it was meant for a USA audience, and not mistakenly posted by GolTV Latin America) which said the game was available on "GolTV play" and then I think there was another facebook post for Canadians with the link to GolTV play for the Portuguese games.
Great find. Wonder why it only applies to Uruguayan and Ecuadorean leagues and not the rest of their content.
Watched a little of Penarol today. HD looked awesome. Wish it was HD on Directv. Also wish Goltv play had sap for English
So if I ever decide to cut the cord I can still watch Goltv play? I have directv and might switch to a streaming service. Is there a way to watch Goltv play on a tv?
I was able to pull up the site on my fire stick. Since there were no games scheduled I don’t know if it works. I used Firefox on my stick. It looks fine but need to see a match.
I ran it via Chrome, which I sideloaded on my Nvidia shield but since they are only showing live games and I am rarely home for live games, no luck. There is an IPTV option that has Gol in HD. Quality was very good (maybe just a notch below DTV HD or ESPN3 HD but better than what I was seeing when Klowd was around). But I didn't continue with the IPTV option because the services were frustrating: the guy has 3 different packages that would make sense for a football fan but every package was missing something that the other package featured. If he would combine the HD options into one package, I would sign up for sure. The other great thing about DTV is the DVR. Again, I am rarely home to watch live. I am a late night viewer since that's when I have time and chord cutting has not solved that problem for me. I still keep DTV even though I sub to other options.
Looks like they haven’t been putting anything on this anymore other than Portuguese league games for Canada.
