Portugal was amusing. Every sports network in the country had a live shot of the Benfica bus traveling to their hotel the day before they played away, but actually watching the games was impossible in any of the three hotels I stayed at because none of them carried the channels that showed the games (this included the Champions League semis too). They did have Sporting and Porto's dedicated channels in all three though and SportTV1 and BolaTV would have live shots of Premeira Liga games (just not the action on the field, the cameras would face the benches or the crowd), as they played with running non-PBP commentary. Couldn't convince my wife to go to CD Santa Clara's last home game of the season, though I did stop at their team store, which was little more than a rack of jerseys and scarves inside their ticket office, to pick up an away shirt, since they sold out of home ones months ago apparently. Also picked up a Maritimo home jersey after having to look at two of their team shops to find one in my size.
I remember staying with family in Belgium during the Summers, and we would get the Portuguese channel, RTP. They showed some beneficia/porto/sporting games. Surprised your hotel didn’t have it.
We had a number of RTP channels there but all the games when we were there were on SportTV2,3,4 IIRC. I think Benfica home games were on their own channel but the hotels only had the Porto and Sporting channels. Lots of roller hockey on TV though...

Tottenham certainly didn’t seem to play like it. Happy to loaf around for 90 minutes after going down 1-0 immediately.
