As we watch these last few days of summer tick away, and it becomes all the more apparent with every passing minute that our club is, to put it as mildly as possible, a little rudderless, I give you a tribute to our very own transfer magician. Here's to you, Arsene "Gob" Wenger. Still. Where'd the lighter fluid come from?
Here's something to ease your Flamini wounds. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...i-as-Newcastle-look-to-hold-onto-Yohan-Cabaye This could be our DM of the future. Not only that, but he'll also replace Szczesny in our "hardest last name to spell" role.
I want to punk Wenger like this, only using a real dinosaur that would scare him into SPENDING SOME F*CKING MONEY.
nice title. anyway, someone in the other thread asked about dick law. afaik he's an american who used to be a part time consultant helping with negotiations in south america and then, out of the blue, became our chief negotiator. he looks about 55-60 years old, grey hair and sometimes wears glasses. i've seen maybe 3 photos of him, tops, and they aren't easy to stumble across.
this new transfer policy of only signing players that turn up at our door is working wonders. and saving loads of cash on plane and bus tickets.
So now that Spurs have their replacement, will they delay the Monkey Face transfer to the last possible moment such that DiMaria can't be transferred out?
Yeah that was me. How you describe him is precisely how I envisaged he would look. Some old twat completely out of touch with today's negotiating and scouting. Considering he has almost zero presence on the net I'm surprised fans or supporters haven't created a mock wikipedia entry for him bashing his negotiating incompetence.
Considering that apparently Levy and Madrid have a "good" relationship based on previous transfers, the papers are quoted as saying, I wouldn't be surprised if it was negotiated that the transfer would only go through at the last second to screw us.
Wouldn't it be great if Madrid just changed their mind at the last second? "Nah, we'll hold on to that 100 mill. But thanks and good luck with your new wage structure!"
Yeah, i find it hard to believe that they would destabilize their whole club just to make a big splash in the transfer market, but a lot of stuff Madrid does doesn't make sense.
This in mind, we should kidnap Messi, wipe his memory, lead him out to Colney, put a contract in front of him, have him put an X on it. Boom. Problem solved.
At this point I'm just looking forward to FIFA14 manager mode to be released so I can focus on that parallel universe where we actually buy players with money and not look like complete clowns.
Link is in Spanish, but Kaka wants to leave Madrid. Start the speculation..... http://futbol.as.com/futbol/2013/08/29/primera/1377804714_508412.html
have a good weekend all. hopefully one of these mornings we will wake up to the news of a signing....hopefully...
You never know. Spain's economy in general sucks. If something were to happen and credit markets froze up again. This deal would be dead in the water.
