    HAPPY 2019 everyone.

Once again Emery goes with his strongest team possible. With Sokratis-Kos-Mustafi in a back 3 and Laca+Auba up front!

    Arsenal:
    19Leno
    5Papastathopoulos
    6Koscielny
    20Mustafi
    15Maitland-Niles
    29Guendouzi
    34Xhaka
    31Kolasinac
    17Iwobi
    14Aubameyang
    9Lacazette

    Substitutes:
    1Cech
    4Elneny
    8Ramsey
    11Torreira
    12Lichtsteiner
    49Nketiah
    87Saka

I wonder which team will be less weary?

Torreira needed a rest. He shouldn't have played vs Sperz

Good morning and Happy New Year, campers. The "use up Ramsey before he leaves" tour swings home today. Count me among those looking for solid from from the home side. They need the win but they also need to display confidence and direction on the pitch. Let's see if they deliver.

5' in and Arsenal already creating a couple chances.

11' Both teams playing like they're in favor of a winter break.

16' and Leno makes a save on a breakaway.

Both teams trying a lot of through passes that aren't making it to their desired destinations. Some tired legs out there.

Ball in the Arsenal half much of the past several mins, though often in the Gunners control.

Playing three at the back against Fulham at home is non-optimal if the team is going to try to play the ball through the middle.

Fulham much quicker on their counterattacks thus far. Christie and Sessegnon finding space and able to turn defenders. The latter has now had 2 clear chances gone wanting.

Should be 0-1 rigt now. What a miss by Sessignon from 3 yds out! He's gonna have nightmares about that, if they come away without anything from this match.

And in the blink of an eye, some direct play leads to 1-0 for us... by Granit Xhaka!

Nice feed by Iwobi and Granit with the time to calmly settle and tap in.
Yeah, I was caught off by that. Figured for sure he'd be out there.

Interesting how our 2 youngest players on the pitch have been arguably the biggest contributors in the last 2 matches: Iwobi & AMN.

Ah youthful legs. And minds perhaps.

Fulham having far too much love right in front of our goal. Mitro should've scored there. We're lucky to be 1-0

Pace picking now. Gunners able to get men forward and create a couple of solid chances.

Edit: Including one "how did that not go in?!" moment.

Sokratis playing winger, and megging people! Nice to see? Or should he just stick to the back until we have a healthier cushion??

My wife suggested that we go to London for christmas break and this was the game we would have gone to. I guess i'm glad we decided not to.

Xhaka's knee may need some observation during HT.

Please, please can we just get through a match without losing another player to injury????

Lacazettes little fits when he doesn't get the ball are becoming Alexis level of annoying

Yeah. Especially when you think we could be up 2-0 if he'd either buried his last chance or slid it across to a wide open Auba.

This is about as nervous a 1-0 lead as we've had. (Not that we've had too many)

Torreira on. But NOT for Xhaka. For Mustafi. Hmm. No more back 3.
