Torino President is very interested in Harry Kewell. However it seems very far fetched, but it would be great to see another Aussie playing in the Serie A. Torino might become similar to Palermo, rich president wanting trophies.

The style of play might suit him better too, but I really can't see it happening.

I think if he goes anywhere, it'll be to Spurs on a deal with someone like Defoe going the other way.

I doubt Liverpool want to get rid of Kewell. He's been a very good player for them, especially with his ability to adapt at any position. If Kewell shines for Australia during this World Cup, I think Liverpool would want to keep him even more.

On the other hand, I think Cahill should look at going to a better club than Everton. Perhaps going to Serie A or La Liga. Would love to see Timmy at a club like Villarreal, Valencia or Atlético de Madrid. He just needs to get more goals for the Aussie's like he did vs. Japan ;)

Cahill have Gonzales coming in over the summer, and he's practically an identical player to Kewell. Liverpool are going to be overloaded with left-sided players when what they really need is another out-and-out striker, or someone on the right.

By Cahill you mean Liverpool right? lol.. at first I was like wtf!

I was checking the 2006/2007 transfer list for Liverpool, and it doesn't mention Gonzalez comming back. It still lists him as on loan to Real Sociedad.

He is applying for a work permit, he didnt get it last time, but its almost 100% assured hes going to get it this time.

Kewell will be a squad player if Gonzales comes, hes a freak, and one of the best left sided mids in the world IMHO. Playboy too, got kicked out of a Chillie camp when they were playing against a country for their world cup preperation, for fraternising with the opposite sex before the game in his hotel room.

I hope Kewell goes to either Juventus or Spurs, i think he could do really well at spurs, their an exciting team, with lots of potential, and are very hungry for success.

Out of the big three leagues, Kewell could only play in Italy and England, Spain is far too slow for his style of play.

    Spurs:

    Kewel - left wing
    Neill - right back

Yes but its very open play, i think KEwell relishes space, like in England with counter attacking play. I think Kewell would be marked far too well for his liking in Italy.

    Re: Kewell to Italy?

In Italy the main form of attack is the counter-attack, on the ground and along the wings. Different to English counter attack in the air. In Italy he would get more of the ball, in England the ball is passed around in defence for to long then playerd forward.
For me he would do very well in Italy. The only problem he'll be facing better defenders.

Kewel would be very suited to La Liga.

    Re: Kewell to Italy?

I disagree, Spainish football is far too slow for him, in Spain they don't counter as well. Spainish teams play a very possession orientated game, the ball is passed from player to player, no real flowing movement, such as runs along the wing. For kewell he'll find in tough to find space, and would have to adopt a passing game

    Re: Kewell to Italy?

Liverpool love Kewell. He won't be transferred, trust me. Liverpool will adjust Kewell into another position when Gonzalez comes back. Afterall, Kewell is like one of those players who can play either wing or centre. He can adapt to any position in the midfield and therefore Benitez wouldn't sell him unless he plays shockingly for Liverpool in the comming season.

    Harry Kewell thread

Look's like Kewell has arthritis not gout as first suggested. However apparently he will make a full recovery.

    Check out the article.

What is the likelihood of Kewell playing in the next World Cup?

    Re: Kewell has arthritis

If he keeps piling up the various injures at the rate he's been going at recently he wont be playing past the end of this season.

    Harry Cool / H / H bomb / Hazza

How good is it to see H back in Sydney town. He was a bigger celeb than the footballers on the footy show last night.

Looks like he may have put on a few kgs....

Does anyone think he is going to shake these injuries once and for all?
He said he is seeing several specialists here for groin, foot and achilles... that doesnt sound all that good to me, but Im glad he is chasing options.

Anyway all I know is that we definately need him for Asia cup and the business end of WC qualification.

.... and we need a striker. Dukes has done a brilliant job. Aloisi too, however we need someone that is lightning quick with the killer instinct.

He's 28 and cant walk properly at the moment- thats bad for both Australia and Liverpool. Everyone hopes 'Arry's sprained vagina heals quickly, and he gets back on the park.

I read that this guy is a sex maniac, he's girlfriend was a little worried that it would be too much. Because now he wants to have it all the time because he's injured. I wonder if this will affect his playin in the NT/Liverpool

He better recover soon, because anyone who has seen that Mark Gonzalez guy play will tell you he looks really sharp.... Harry needs to get fit soon otherwise I think Liverpool might sell him.

Im a big big fan of Kewell fan but dont think he has been the same player ever since the injuries started. He does show glimpses of what he used to be capable of doing occasionally. I hope he makes a good recovery and we see him back in action soon.
