If you are a motorcyclist, please wear a helmet. My cousin and his fiance were killed last Friday night in an accident on a residential street after he hit a median. Neither was wearing a helmet.

I've just read your last post. So sorry for your loss!

 

September 1944 was Operation Market Garden. The largest airbourne operation of the allies in WWII.

I had the chance to go and jump with the reenactment group this year into Arnhem. It was on my bucket list! But life got in the way of plans once more. Bummer.

I can't fathom why people don't wear helmets. The mere iidea of a head hitting the hard ground at such speeds... If that's not enough the vision of Gary Busey should kick in.........

In my yoot I blasted around on a Norton Commando Roadster with an 810cc Dunstall head. Sold it after a close call I thankfully walked away from, have never ridden since. Always wore a helmet, though.

 

Heck, that's grim stuff. Sorry for your loss.

I'm with you about wearing helmets and that includes push/pedal cycles.
