He was lucky to be in the same locker room with the likes of Zizou, Carlos, Ronaldo N., Raul, Guti, Cannavaro, RVN etc. and learn from them first-hand... he's got that old school attitude that is sorely missed these days.
I'm not saying that they were the most professional sportsmen out there (some where, many were obviously not) but it is undeniable that they were from an older era where values were a bit different to what we see today, that and the fact that the game has become softer.
Great posts. I doubted his leadership when he got the arm band but he has matured amazingly. His off the field handling of business is even better than his on field leadership. The way he defends the club without being divisive in his own country is not an easy thing to do. Dude is a great captain. Hope he can lift a historic 2 peat in a few weeks.
4⃣🏆😃 That's FOUR for the captain, @SergioRamos! 🏆 2014🏆 2016🏆 2017🏆 2018 pic.twitter.com/laxv2o545l— Real Madrid C.F. 🇬🇧🇺🇸 (@realmadriden) May 26, 2018 Gotcha
Best Captain in the world....bleeds white....gives absolutely EVERYTHING on the pitch! Love Sergio!!! He was around for some really tough times...he deserves this!
His time as captain has been exceptional. Has pushed all the right buttons and is a great character guy. People always wonder why we put up with the silly red cards and occasional contract drama? It's because of times and stages like this. He doesn't shrink, ever.
Ramos was a complete madman tonight. Going up for every single headball even when his teammates had it covered

Lets be honest, he is a professional ********. Even you people have to appreciate what he is. Yes he wins titles, he wins them by taking teams best players out by any means. Anyone on here happy to say the salah take down was accidental? And the elbow to karius' head AND then he went on to make out that HE was taken out by karius? I think Ramos is the kind of guy that has a good 35 years of life, then abruptly you see his name in the papers he was killed "tragiclly" safe to say that everyone outside of madrid will be laughing their cock off.
Ramos on Klopp not letting the Salah injury stuff lie “It’s not the first final he's lost, [maybe] he wants to use that as an excuse for losing. Some of us have been operating at a very high level for many years, not sure he can say the same."— Dermot Corrigan (@dermotmcorrigan) August 14, 2018 That's my capi
Ramos also asked just now about Ronaldo saying Juventus was "friendlier" than Madrid: "We’ve always felt like a family here. I don’t know what he was getting at. We’ve lost an important and decisive player, but this club is above all players, even him."— Dermot Corrigan (@dermotmcorrigan) August 14, 2018 Imo Ramos is the best captain we have ever had. He may not be the best player we've ever had, but his attitude, confidence, and dedication to the club are second to none and have been key to our recent success. An example for future generations. He will be very difficult to replace.
