No rooting interest but the College Football Championship game tonight (Alabama v Georgia) could be quite good.
TBH, I wasn't interested in seeing it - fell asleep during the first half and went to bed. Saban's the best, gotta give him that.
I totally would’ve been asleep as well - but am on the west coast for work so the game ended around 9:30pm Pacific.
Now its really starting to get great. Always jealous when I hear someone is watching it for the first time. My wife and I knocked it out over Christmas/New Years a few years ago. We would watch 3 or 4 episodes a night until 1 or 2 in the morning. Fortunately I was mostly off work, but I was back to work by the last season and between the lack of sleep and emotional roller coaster of the show, I felt like a meth head in need of rehab by the time it was done.
I couldn’t finish it. I tried. The wife and the kid made me so so angry. I think I have 3 episodes left .... going on 4 years.
The missus and I found The Killing and Bosch very addictive. We have been huge fans of Brit mysteries over the years - Inspector Morse; Inspector Lewis; Endeavour for you newbies; A Touch of Frost; etc. Jeremy Brett's Sherlock Holmes was the best version. Further afield Wallander; The Bridge; The Tunnel come to mind.
We have got into a few Aussie/New Zealand produced shows thanks to Acorn subscription (ton of British stuff too) I enjoyed Brokenwood Mysteries and of the British stuff hard to beat Foyle and Vera
Yup, big miss. The missus fell in love with Michael Kitchen and I fell in love with Honeysuckle Weeks. Calm down, guys, that's her real name.
And while Brett was my favorite traditional' Holmes', Cumberbatch is the best ever And we won't talk about 'Elementary'...
Cumberbatch is great. Forgot Vera too. Liked Hinterland, moving down to Wales... Broadchurch is a good one, for you David Tennant fans. And Inspector George Gently is a terrific time capsule of Toon in the sixties.
