I liked the second episode better than the first. It still looks like it'll be a fairly conventional show, but well-acted and with good production values, at least.

I'm six episodes in and I have really been enjoying this.
Though I'm guessing it won't be to everyone's taste.
The biggest problem that people seem to have with it is that the serial killer mystery is so conventional. That's true, but I just love the setting and the cast so I can live with the fact that some of the writing is a bit paint-by-the-numbers for the genre.

I'm digging the show, haven't watched this weeks episode yet, but there's not much left is there?

I haven't watched this weeks episode yet, but do have a question. Was Van Burgen committing other murders that haven't been picked up by the police yet or was his vice just having sex with young boys?

I think the latter option is the most likely one at this point.
He just liked picking up boys at the brothels and he was unusual enough in his appearance with his teeth to stand out among the other johns and he happened to have at least one of the victims as a favorite.

BTW, the Van Burgen's are supposed to be the Van Buren's, right?

Van Buren as in descendants of President Martin Van Buren? Not sure, but I don't see a real connection, he had 5 kids, 1 died young, the others were all dead by the time this takes place and most of their families remained in Upstate NY, not NYC.

So this latest episode seemed to set things up for what will probably be the closing arc to the story in episodes 8, 9 & 10. It wasn't bad per se, but somewhat less thrilling than the two episodes that preceded it.

Looks like they will have a lot to do in next week's series finale.

Watched the last 2 episodes last night, really enjoying the show. Looking forward to see how it's resolved. Wishing some ill will upon a couple of those ex-cops.

I really thought they would have dealt with that mick ******** in the latest episode. That they are leaving even that to the series finale probably means it'll be a wild ride.

This was a wonderful series but I thought the finale was incredibly rushed, after all of that build-up.

Also, the only guy to get his comeuppance is Connor? I don't think they should have wrapped everything up into a nice little bow, but it's weird that Connor's partner and the Swede just get away with everything.

Agreed, it felt rushed at the end.
