As expected, McTominay has pulled out of international duty with Scotland. Although, the extent of his injury is still unknown at this point. Not expecting good news tbh on this and expect he will be missing some time. From that sense, the return of both Pogba and Matic are both timely. The latest on his status. https://www.skysports.com/football/...-scott-mctominay-will-return-from-ankle-knock
hoping to hear her gets his supposed wish of a January departure. Inter are rumoured as interested. hopefully Beppe Marotta will help us out again
https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/man-utd-trio-back-in-training-ahead-of-sheffield-united-clash Shaw, Tuanzebe and Matic are back.
Glad that Tuanzebe is back and hopefully Shaw's return means Ashley Young can go back to being a cheerleader.
Latest injury update. https://www.manchestereveningnews.c...tball-news/man-utd-injury-news-pogba-17298457 A bit disappointing to see that Bailly and Timmy might not be ready to return until 2020 or thereabouts. Thought that them being close according to Ole meant a couple of weeks tops. If they are ready to play and just need match fitness, would have Tuanzebe, Shaw (and even possibly Matic) play today with the U23s, even if it's just for a half. Easy game on paper vs a Sunderland team which is bottom of the division and could be an ideal warm up games for those guys. Can't imagine that playing on a (near) frozen pitch in Kazakhstan would be the ideal place for them to have their first competitive game upon their return from injury. Vitally important though that our injury situation starts to relent going into what will be a packed and important December coming up.
United are looking to overhaul the club's physio dept. https://www.goal.com/en/news/man-ut...d-fitness-concerns/12afhg317ss4c1rgsfwab2fcd4 It's about time tbh. Something that has been clearly needed for some time (talking years now). A shakeup will be welcome, if for no other reason to try something different, in hopes for an improvement on what we've seen in terms of players being misdiagnosed or passed fit when they weren't etc...
Martial out with another injury. https://www.skysports.com/football/...ss-manchester-uniteds-clash-against-tottenham Question now is: how long will he out for?
Would not necessarily move on but it simply confirms that we need to go for a 9 whether it's in Jan or in the summer. Greenwood is not ready and it's been established that Rashford is not at his best in that position. Whether it's Haaland or Werner (among others), it's a position that simply can't be overlooked and a quality addition is necessary since Martial can not be relied upon to stay healthy unfortunately.
1202243519487852544 is not a valid tweet id Honestly don't recall the guy being so injury prone in his first couple of seasons with us. Not catastrophic yet, but this is a bit worrying. Or is our physio dept that bad? Can't really rule that out either tbh, based on what we've seen recently. Also wondering whether the players are being pushed too hard in training, since muscle injuries or knocks seem to be rife since Ole took over.
Ole claiming that Martial suffered a slight muscular injury in the Villa game but he'll be out for a while nonetheless. Not good, especially with the games coming thick and fast for the remainder of the month.
https://www.manchestereveningnews.c...tball-news/man-utd-injury-news-derby-17373503 Have some good news at least on the Martial front. Pogba has stepped up his recovery and should be back soon. So are Bailly, Dalot and Timmy.
The latest update re injuries straight from Ole. https://www.manchestereveningnews.c...all-news/man-utd-injury-news-alkmaar-17399148 Bailly and Timmy are still expected to return around the turn of the year as well.

https://www.manchestereveningnews.c...manchester-united-injury-news-latest-17469166 Disappointing about Tuanzebe: should have suspected something was up when he failed to make the squad vs Watford. With Ole sure to rotate at some point in the next week to 10 days, it probably means we will see Jones at some point. Fingers crossed Bailly will be good to go very soon. Speaking of, just excited though about his and Timmy's impending return (Dalot's too). We need the options at the very least.
The fact that we have a borderline crisis every time we have a single CM injured is ********ing ludicrous. The depth of the squad in MF and attack is so embarrassing - everyone involved in putting it together should be on the choopping block to be honest.
Ole today on McTominay's injury said that they're still awaiting the results of his scan but it's not looking too good. We can expect him to be lost for a while now...
BREAKING: Scott McTominay is set to be out for 3-4 weeks. 😔Will we be able to cope with his absence? 🤔🇾🇪 #MUFC pic.twitter.com/Xdq2pX7UE5— Stretford Paddock FC (@SPaddockFC) December 28, 2019 Really bad timing considering what's coming ahead in January.
I think Ole is playing games. I expect Scott to be out for far longer than 3 weeks. My guess is there were plans to bring in a CM in the window and he is playing down the injury so we don't get gouged.
Hush, keep it quiet. However, it does seem that our players are always out about twice what the original estimate of time is.
