So, attending a table-top gaming con in Rockville, MD, this past weekend, I saw this in the breakfast bar and thought: "Praise Toast Jesus," and decided all should see it. Note the offering in remembrance of Colorado Rapids, 2018.

In truth, my wife watched me take the picture and said, "This is for that toast thread on that soccer board, right?".... LOL!

 

No doubt she said it with great pride in her voice!

 

Uh... yeah, that's what that tone was...

I was. Played Championship Formula Racing, Evolution, Flame Rouge, Cat Lady, Gadgets, Warsaw: City of Ruins. Many played with my 9 year old daughter, also. The creator of Twilight Struggle was there autographing copies of the game. All around great time!

You might like Flame Rouge. It's a model of the last kilometer of a bicycle race. Rules close up the pack to make a peloton, lead riders take exhaustion in the form low speed cards that get shuffled into the deck so that they come out on future deals. Taught some bicyclists who'd never heard of it and they loved it.

 

Flamme Rouge great fun!

I had a picture of a worship altar at a Best Western Plus hotel in Rockville, VA. It distracted us from important opportunities to complain. So sorry about that.

 

Both Flame Rouge and Championship Formula Racing look interesting. I love race games.

 

It's just not as much fun with LA trying to become Lazarakia. Let me know when they are eliminated
