Klopp will still get plenty of rope, for now, despite being 6-7th now? The love fest should end with the media by the end of the season if he fails to reach the top 4 though. Another reason why I can't wait for the game in a couple of weeks. Have a feeling that Jose wants to burst that bubble if he can.
The fun starts after the intl break, with 6 games in 2 weeks. October is going to be interesting. 14 Oct: Pool (Prem - A) 18 Oct: Benfica (CL - A) 21 Oct: Huddersfield Town (Prem - A) 24 Oct: Swansea City (EFL - A) 28 Oct: Spurs (Prem - H) 31 Oct: Benfica (CL - H)
Even though it's only October 1, I don't think it would be premature to suggest that Liverpool are already out of the running for the EPL trophy. Top Six should be a snap for Klopp's scouse, but Top Four is out of their reach. So far, so good.

Still too early, but definitely worth keeping an eye on. Spurs and Chelsea we're opposite ends of the spectrum last season. Spurs dominating proceedings and being good value for their wins and Chelsea time and again lucking into narrow results.
Hanging on to 2nd based on GD alone. Premier League table:1. Man City 25 pts2. Man Utd 20 pts3. Tottenham 20 pts4. Chelsea 16 pts5. Arsenal 16 pts6. Watford 15 pts pic.twitter.com/vzirDHHF4U— Football Tweet ⚽ (@Football__Tweet) October 22, 2017
The next 2 weeks will be absolutely pivotal for United as far as the league is concerned. Going to have try and make up for the lost points this weekend vs Huddersfield. 6pts is ambitious at the moment (especially if there is still no Pogba for those 2 games vs Spurs and Chelsea), but 4 has to be the minimum though, no matter what.
City and Spurs are the class of the Prem right now, but United can not be discarded just yet. www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11094116/manchester-city-and-tottenham-are-premier-league-two-outstanding-teams-say-sky-sports-pundits Agree wholeheartedly with that assessment. As of today, there is no doubting City and Spurs' class/quality, but that being said, certainly not going to write United off just yet eIther. For a variety of reasons that have been talked about, the team is struggling right now and there's blame both with Jose and the players alike. But the point still remains that if United can stay within touching distance of the leaders by the turn of the year, then anything is possible. By early 2018, hopefully everyone will be fit and available, which meańs not only Pogba is back, also Zlatan (and Rojo as well) ańd the team can make a serious push for the top spots. Those are players who can make a difference in the team. It's vital however to not allow things spin out of control now, which is why the importance of the upcoming Prem games can not overstated enough (and I trust Jose and the guys to fully realize this). Whatever it takes, they have to get it done in those games.
True. We have to pick up our form. But how is the question, isn't it? Spurs and Chelsea coming up could be just the tonic for our current malaise...or it could be the end of our EPL trophy dream for this season.
Favorable draw for United in the League Cup: they're getting Bristol City away. The full draw for the Carabao quarters: - Chelsea v Bournemouth - Arsenal v West Ham - Leicester City v Manchester City
After MD9 City +3.3 United -2.05 Spurs -2.55 Arsenal -4.7 Chelsea -5.15 Liverpool -7.3 Expectation will be for us to drop down to Arsenal/Chelsea pack after MD11 - we need 4 points to break par which we haven't shown any evidence of.
wonder what are the odds on pogba returning against Spurs? He's back at Carrington and he's been out for about 6weeks.
It would be great if Pogs was somehow available this weekend. But realistically, he's literally just come back to training after being out extensively. Next week's game at the Bridge is still the likelier bet, I would think.
I think it is very early to rename it that but it's fun. Jose time. pic.twitter.com/SPsii28XT9— B/R Football (@brfootball) October 28, 2017

Undoubtedly. It's still only October and we've only played 10 of the 38 games. It's fair to characterize City as the strong favorite right now, but nothing more. Bring back Pogba and Ibra and, provided we don't lose any more ground to City before those two lace up their boots again, we've got a decent shot at lifting glorious prem trophy.
