The 2W-2L-1T run are not really "Predictions", but more of "Projections" by simply assuming that the Most Recent Home/Road results vs each team repeat themselves in the upcoming games. So far, the accuracies of the Projections have been hovering between 45~70% on weekly basis...
The Official Site had apparently taken turns to jinx Dallas, L.A. & Seattle at different points of the season. (for the sake of parity, perhaps?) Soon after each article, these teams either lost games (FCD, SEA) or dropped points (LAG)...
Hopefully they'll start jinxing LA and Seattle more - goodness knows they need some jinxing. Shield race down to them at this point after their beat downs on RBNY and Chivas this weekend.

Notes As RSL fans, we need DC United to drop points in their last 4 games. Hopefully Sporting KC and Houston can find their feet against them... Yeah, I just said cheer for Houston and Sporting. Excuse me while I vomit. For the sake of the league, we need New England to not host MLS Cup. That would be a shit show. So would DC, but New England even more so. The football lines would still be on the field. It would be a debacle. The Revs are somewhat fun to watch (I personally don't care for them, but that's just me) but they can't host. It would be embarrassing. How far can SKC slide? I actually don't want them in the playoffs just because well ******** them, but I don't see it happening. Still, it is crazy tight for those last 2-3 playoff spots. Looks like it'll be another "so close" year for Philly. Too little too late from Houston (though you never know with them) and a really crazy finish with Columbus/TFC/NYRB for likely 2 spots. Calling it now: LA wins the SS. They're catching fire at just the right time. Have found a left back in Robbie Rogers, Keane isn't off his game anymore, and LD looks like he wants to go out like Beckham did. That team scares me. Either they win both MLS Cup and the SS or neither. I don't know what to expect from Seattle. Martins is special, but their defense leaves a lot to be desired still. I am really excited to watch this home/home series with LA to finish the season. PLEASE get heated and get guys ejected. PLEASE!! As for us, gotta take care of business. There is absolutely no reason this team should lose it's 1 point lead. In fact, I see that going back to a 3 or 4 point gap this weekend. Anything short of 10 points to finish the season is inexcusable. The battle between Portland and Vancouver for the last spot is really intriguing. Neither team has a schedule that you can confidently say they'll be able to handle. The home and home with SJ for Portland should be 6 points but those 2 teams always seem to find a way to frustrate each other. Further, Portland has to finish with us and Dallas around a CCL game. Vancouver doesn't have it much better with their next two games against top sides, but they finish with SJ and the cRapids. I think we go into the last day with Vancouver holding a point or two lead. Looking at who plays who, it should go to Vancouver
I'm glad to be honest. The whole "but but but we can still win every game and have everyone else lose all of theirs!!!" was starting to get really annoying. Honestly we lost our last real chance at the SS when we tied at San Jose
You mean the second game of the season right? When we blew the lead in the last minute...then went on to do that another 4 games?
Winning the MLS cup or finishing with the third best record in the regular season if L.A. Wins the cup no?
Ah yes, you are right! On this note, even the 4th best record may be enough, if: LAG win the SS SEA finish 2nd, having already won the USOC DCU finish 3rd overall, & win the MLS Cup Or: SEA win the SS, on top of USOC LAG finish 2nd DCU finish 3rd overall, & win the MLS Cup Or: Any other combinations, where the Top-3 teams qualify, leaving the remaining CCL spot for the 4th-place team.

Official Site: http://m.mlssoccer.com/news/article...onstructing-seattle-sounders-attack-other-wee Quote: ""First, a bit of housekeeping: It appears likely, though it has not been confirmed, that the weekend's results mean the LA Galaxy have joined the Seattle Sounders in qualifying for the 2015-16 edition of the CONCACAF Champions League: D.C. United look a very good bet to claim the third spot by virtue of winning the Eastern Conference, though we all know a four-point lead with three to play isn't exactly insurmountable. Assuming, then, that Seattle, LA and D.C. all punch their tickets by the end of October, the final spot would go to the MLS Cup winner. If one of those three teams wins MLS Cup, the spot will then go to the fourth-placed team in the overal regular-season standings. It's a scrap: Bear in mind that this is not yet official. CONCACAF and the USSF work in mysterious ways, to say nothing of MLS, so things could very well change."" - Unquote.
Thoughts EAST: If DC United win this weekend they'll win the East. If they lose, I think the revitalized New England Revolution will take the top spot there. How crazy would that be? DC's schedule, coupled with the 4 point lead should win it, but I could see that team tanking to finish. New England, regardless, has to be one of the most feared teams in the league. They are on a rampage. Jones has completely turned that team. As of now, they're my favorites to win the East. On the flip side, look at the fall of Sporting KC. They should win their next two to right the ship and stay above the dreaded play-in match, but one slip and they are in a really bad spot. Especially considering they finish against New York. The last two spots in the East are extremely unpredictable. One of the biggest matches is on Wednesday with TFC and Houston. If TFC gets 3 points in that one, the East will come down to the last match day. I think it finishes with New York and TFC finding their way in, but wouldn't be shocked if both of those guys also were on the outside looking in at the end. WEST The gap between Seattle / LA and the rest of the league is getting bigger by the minute. Deservedly so, those guys have separated themselves. RSL can talk all they want about being deep, Seattle and LA have showed it. Who wins the league, MVP, and coach of the year could easily come down to that home and home series. I'm really hopeful, for a lot of reasons, that both win their games this weekend. Keeping the teams level on points while holding both 4th and 5th place back would make for one hell of a season finale. The RSL schedule looks easy on paper, but it really isn't easy for RSL. Against these 3 opponents, we have a record of 1-3-2. That's right, we've lost 3 times to the worst teams in the west. RSL doesn't have it easy given how poorly we play against these teams this year. It almost feels inevitable that we'll fall to 4th and play Vancouver. Maybe I'm just in shock still from that Chivas performance, but I look at the Dallas schedule and ours and see us going 1-1-1 and dallas going 2-1-0 and jumping us. Essentially, RSL has to win 2 of these last 3 to finish 3rd in my book at I really don't see that happening. The battle for 5th is awesome. Portland will jump them over the weekend but I think Vancouver has the last laugh.
I wouldn't put it past them to award the last spot to NYCFC...some BS about keeping the spots balanced between East and West blah blah blah
Speaking of this, there could be some possible scenarios, where all 4 CCL spots for 2015-16 go to Western Conference teams in the next season: Seattle: Already won USOC, almost certain of Top-2 in SS Table. L.A.: Almost certain of Top-2 in SS Table, to either qualify as SS Winners, or take up the slot free up by Seattle should they win it. SKC top the East and move to the West in 2015. Any other Western Team winning the MLS Cup. Western Teams occupying the Top-4 spots in SS Table.
Ugh. I am having a hard time deciding which I hated more, this guy or The Wiggles. So glad to be past the kid's music stage of parenthood.
