Man, que chinguesumadre @ whoever is responsible for nads taking a liking to football since ever. So goddamn corny.
This guy’s logic in this thread is a ********ing insane Hey, I like Mexico as a country, it is a nice place to visit. But if you call yourself an American but don't want to rep the USA, you are f-ed up.— Chief Tenaya (@ChiefTenaya) August 23, 2019
There's also this hot take going around that our youth academies are in shambles and that's why we go after dual-nationals. No, we go after dual-nationals because if they turn out to be decent and eligible, why the hell wouldn't the federation try to have them in the player pool? The USMNT has a significantly more recent and more embarrassing track record of bending over for dual nationals. The last time Mexico ever did that was Nery Castillo, who was at the time a player any nation would have wanted. The day Mexico promises a nobody of the tier of Julian Green a spot on a world cup roster is the day we can even begin to compare Mexico to the US in that regard.
That guy in the twitter post was saying how people are F’d up for wanting to represent another country that isn’t the USA if you live in the USA. I told him Yarbrough is Mexican born and has always lived in Mexico and represents USA, how is that any different? He tap danced around that by saying “his parents are missionaries.” It’s not even a coherent response. A person who lives in the USA but represents another country is considered Fkd up in his opinion, regardless of their parents job or religion. But Yarbrough gets a pass because...MERICA. It’s hilarious how he doesn’t see his glaring hypocrisy.
Dude didn't even get the "ironing" joke, he needs more BSMX in his life. You should have triggered the Trumpo even more by linking him the Tigres del Norte song and told him that America is from Canada to Argentina.
It's actually quite simple. The Mexican sports media doesn't have twitter accounts dedicated to creating highlights of kids playing in the LigaMX U15, U17 or U20 leagues. Unless you have the time to dig through the LigaMX recaps for those leagues, chances are, you'll be seeing a lot of those U15s or U17s for the first time with the Youth National Teams. There's a reason why many here in BSMX constantly yap about players like Efrain Alvarez. They constantly see twitter threads about a goal or assist with the LA Galaxy or the Galaxy reserves and automatically assume he's better than other players on the youth national teams that play in Mexico and these same people constantly bitch about Alvarez being a sub with the U17 Mexico National team. They're drinking the kool aid and acting just like US fans. Aside from the Pachuca guys who follow their youth teams, who was talking about Pizzuto prior to the U17 CONCACAF championship? The kid was a standout for Mexico. A left footed central midfielder that, at least for age group, showed a great ability to control the midfield for Mexico. By this point, we have a decent enough sample size of how this works. Third place at the U20 World Cup in Colombia in 2011, beating James' Colombia and Griezman's France. How many of those players have been real contributors for the NT? Just two....Diego Reyes and Nestor Araujo. Pretty sure Raul Jimenez could've been on that team. Instead we had Izazola, Guarch and Cubo Torres. Hector Herrera, Andres Guardado, Raul Jimenez, Rodolfo Pizarro, Memo Ochoa, Charly Rodriguez......These guys didn't sniff even the youth national teams until after they turned pro, some of them never even played for youth national teams and went straight to the senior National Team. Hirving Lozano, Tecatito, Guti, Diego Lainez, Alvarado.....these guys played with youth national teams before turning pro and eventually made it to the senior National Team. Might have to double check on Alvarado, I seem to remember he attended some YNT camps when he was playing in the 2nd division but I'm not sure. Point is, the youth national teams have never been the only talent pipe to the senior NT so the hand wringing and histrionics by our very own BSMX'ers are over the top. It's one thing if US fans don't fully understand how our development differs from theirs but our own dudes fall for their rhetoric constantly as well.
reminiscing over that meaningless game LMAO thoughts and prayers they always go down there to park the bus and play for a point because they're shook af but yeah no longer a fortress
show everyone what you're made from beating cuba... take this L, and another L for wearing that jersey now i'm not gonna go full red hat spazzo and say they're traitors and need to be deported for this but mexicans that have seemingly lived their whole lives in mexico (at least i think so since their info never has anything related to the US, no american birthplace, education, nothing, it's always all mexican stuff) supporting the nads are so cringe and make no sense. why would you be a plastic for the nads of all teams? he's already a germany plastic, couldn't just leave it at that... this dude is like the 3rd or 4th mexican nad fan i've seen these past few months haha wth any ties the average mexican in mexico has to the US would be through family members living there and/or they live right on the border and travel to the US for work, and if this is the case these are flimsy ass reasons to support them imo... at least with the mexicans in the US supporting mexico, or pretty much everyone with an immigrant background that would rather support their country of origin, is because of their parents or grandparents, just something more meaningful. this is like a japanese person supporting nigeria... wait bunch of weirdos

So what’s Macias’ connection to the US? Dude was born in Guadalajara to Mexican parents so what’s the deal?
