Interesting little story I heard. Given was up for retirement but not convinced he was making the right decision. He approached Trappatoni to ask advice and was told that he should do what he thought was the right thing. No notion there of sympathy or talking him out of it.

 

I always thought he was very underrated and outstanding class act
represented the game well.
