Columbus come to town on Sunday afternoon for the final game of the regular season. This game means nothing to Columbus except for the opportunity to defeat a nominal rival. If I was their coach I'd be tempted to test out some young players. TFC have a chance at a home playoff date but they'd need to win and get a little help in the way of stumbles by both DC and NYRB. I expect Vanney to send out whatever he thinks his best line up is as a final tune up for the playoffs.
If the playoffs were to start today, we'd play Philly. That's not too bad. In some ways, it's better than playing DC or NYRB because both of those teams have playoff experience whereas with Philly, you don't know how they're going to handle their emotions.
A win and, thanks to some help elsewhere, a home playoff date. That's pretty good. The injury to Altidore is not good. No word that I can find on how bad it is. Ideally it will keep him out for the Americans but he'll be back when TFC face DC.
