Need to wait. Ajax start out in the third qualifying round in August and if they win go into the playoff round. However, Ajax will be the seeded team in both of these rounds because of the coefficient. In 20/21, the Eredivisie champion goes straight to the group round.
Five players from Ajax are on the 20 player Champions League team of the season as chosen by the UEFA technical directors. Props to the Ajax management and trainers for getting the team prepped for the competition.
The entire Champions League team from Jose Mourinho: Alisson Becker (Liverpool); Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool), Matthijs de Ligt (Ajax), Andy Robertson (Liverpool); Frenkie de Jong (Ajax), Donny van de Beek (Ajax), Christian Eriksen (Tottenham Hotspur); Lionel Messi (Barcelona), Sadio Mané (Liverpool), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool).

Sorry Orange14, but if these reports are true its looking like deLigt might opt for PSG. A salary of 75 million over 5 years is hard to pass up. I sure as hell wouldnt pass it up. By the time he's a free agent he'll be 25 and ripe for Barca: https://www.voetbalprimeur.nl/nieuw...oenen-voor-de-ligt-90-miljoen-voor-ajax-.html
But why not?? If I were him I'd take the cash, play for 3 years (not 4) for PSG, and then make the move to Barca
Because PSG sucks. Controlled by oil money and they violate financial fair play. Better to stay at Ajax and win CL next year
Who cares if its oil money, its still real money! I say go for the big bucks and move to Barca in 3 years from now when you're 23 or so. You just dont like the fact he's leaving O14, just admit it. You're like that prom queen who's boyfriend just broke up with her
Agreed. I want to see him play against the best players in the world in a truly competitive league. For me it should be one of Barcelona, Liverpool, Manchester City or Real Madrid (preferably not the last). I'm hoping for either Barca or Liverpool. At Barca I think he would really thrive and his link up with FDJ will get even better, however I think the Premier League would really suit his skillset and forming a cohesive CB duo with Van Dijk would be incredible for our National Team going forward! That being said I think Liverpool already has a pretty solid CB duo so I think Barcelona would really be the best place for him.
Raiola's transfer ban was suspended so he free to do his extortion act on behalf of de Ligt and Pogba.
