I concede the point. I printed out a bunch of the petitions. Hopefully I can fill them up this week.

I like it, but i've never been a big supporter (pun somewhat intended) of the Gateway city moniker. Always thought it was just too generic, but the masses have spoken, and like always they tell me to shut my pie hole.

I've got a friend who owns a T-shirt shop. Let's get some of these printed up.

Both are fantastic - I still like the one with old football in the background, but the river lines are also uniquely local.

I think with San Jose officially coming back is BAD for St. Louis. I don't Garber has any intentions of granting St. Louis a team. There's only 2 expansion teams up for grabs now, and I don't see us getting a team.

Everyone always knew SJ was in - SJ changes nothing.

Regardless of the Logo we pick, we need to also have a complementing alternative logo for areas where the main logo is inappropriate - ie too large, wrong shape, etc.

    This is KD's best logo:

I chopped that up an came up with this for an alternative logo.

    Here are some simple variations:

since this would be for the supporters club, and not an official club badge, i think it can have a bit of "flair" for lack of a better term. i am horrible at graphics, but if anyone could come up with a logo that has a soccer ball resting under the horse's raised front leg, that may work. it would also allow us to remove the ball from the background, which kind of looks too crowded as is, IMO.

You mean like this? With the horse shooting and scoring? ;)

These are great SB. I like the bottom one best.

    Here's my attempt.

I was thinking of the ball resting there, as if he were dribbling forward. but i like what you did with it. especially with Louis celebrating his strike.

Well these logos look fine. Nice work. Just wish we actually had a team to support.

IF we don't get an MLS team, will you folks support the women's pro team?

Do you think Cooper will go ahead with the women's pro team even IF we don't get an MLS team.

Many people that I've spoke with across the league tell me we're not very high on Garber's list. Not sure how true that is, but that's just what I've been told.

    It was a joke - thus the " ;) "

    Probably not.

    Probably so

This isn't the first time you've said this.
Exactly who are these "people that I've spoke with across the league."

You're free to have whatever opinion you want.
You're also free to express that opinion
But could you please do it somewhere other than "Supporter's Group Name and Logo ideas"?
Clearly, you are not doing any "supporting".

Those that think they can't, won't.

My advice to SB and all of you great fans in StL who have been contributing positive energy is to keep it up. 6 months ago, I had just started a website and had 15 guys signed up and felt like that was good.

Don't let negative energy get you down.

I think I actually like the old school soccer ball design. How did we come up with green and blue? interesting combination, not one often used in sports...which isn't necesarily bad.

Anyways, I should be done with all my retreats/vacations, so expect to hear alot more out of me!

I was about to setup another "official vote" when I thought "Don't we all agree as it stands?" Can I set up a vote just to decide which version of Gateway City we want? Or does anyone even disagree with Gateway City Supporters?

I personally want to entertain the possibility of Gateway City Guardians.....what do you think?

Oh, and if you have major reservations against the name....speak now and state your case, because I want to move forward.

I like Gateway, but technically, the other votes out there could overcome it if they all went for the same choice out for the others.

Is anybody else feeling Kelley green t-shirts as the standard for the Stl supporters group? They would be bright and attention grabbing, plus the only green in the league.

The caveat, like SoB's caveat, is that colors will align with team colors from the moment they are announced.

I don't think that necessarily has to happen.

Unless there is a huge clash, why can't we stick with our color theme?

Come to think about it, shouldn't the team align with us? ;) j/k
