The Supercopa España, a two legged championship which is contested by the La Liga champions and the Copa del Rey champions, will hold its 2013 edition in China. Dunno if this is interesting to anyone but I didn't know where else to post this lol.
the italian has hold a cup match in china before, and it's interesting to know european tournaments are taking advantage of the china market, not at their respective countries, and not at our neighbour countries. i believe this is a monetary and political incentive move, but in the modern world of football, more money and more ties with different countries are needed to survive.
This is excellent news. It will be the closest thing to a competitive match that a Chinese fan can enjoy without having to travel to Spain. Will they remove the two-legs feature and just play one match?
during the pre-match conference, sergio ramos mentioned he don't want the spanish super cup to be played in china, citing that would bring the match farther away from the spanish fans.
