Whatever if it is not this summer (still think it's possible), he'll leave next year at the latest. His family confirmed there is no discussion to renew his contract, and that RMC infos last week are 100% wrong (about PSG opening discussions to renew him). He learned from Rabiot. Good.

I don't understand why people are dreaming to have Mbappe and Jovic.

Both of them are best utilized as out-and-out striker.

Mbappé is way better than Jovic with 38 goals in 42 games this season.

And it looks like Mbappé is adamant to continue play as a #9.

If RM sign Jovic as the main striker for 2020s decade, I don't think Mbappé will come.

Benzema should continue to be striker while RDT & Mairano are back-up IMHO.

 

Not renewing is good and allows him to leave in 2022 at least. Before that, I will believe only when Emir sanctions his transfer. Bayern totally ignored Lewa and Zahavi and were like respect your contract. And PSG wouldn't even let Rabiot leave in January for a fee out of spite.

 

Mbappe's future is in his hands only in 2022. We are not gonna wait until then to sign a goalscorer. And if Mbappe is an option now(he's not), what do we do with your favorite Benz going by same logic? Since Mbappe wants to play as #9?

Also, Mbappé is better than Benzema already and should be RM's main #9 tbh.

But until 2021/2022, I don't mind if Benzema is a starter.

 

2021 is still two years away. Mbappe wouldn't even wanna join RM if we continue to suck for couple more years. We need someone who can score 20+ goals along with Hazard this summer. And again PSG have shown they don't sell any player no matter what so 2022 is most realistic scenario.

You said it yourself. There was a new regime under Flo and spend 250 ME in a summer which was revolutionary. And there was also the fact that Ron wanted to come here even when Utd were CL winners. That helped all other signings. I don't know if Mbappe has that sort of desire to play for RM especially in the era of oil money clubs. Kaka had rejected 108 ME move to Man City in January before joining RM. Now most players would seriously consider City.

 

He was the captain when last season started under Mou.

As for Jovic fee, If Frankfurt are looking for an auction and demanding 100 ME, it's upto the player. PSG offered more money to sign Modric in 2012, but he only wanted RM move. If Jovic doesn't care where he ends up, maybe Chelsea will pay 100 ME. PSG were linked with him as well, but now unlikely with Mbappe wanting to play as #9.

 

Why the f we stalling on Jovic move?
Knew this would happen. Barça don't even need him. Their unnecessary interference will only make things hard

 

Barca does not have funds to finance 300M summer.

 

What if they sell coutinho

 

He's on high wages and no one has offered serious money. I'd be surprised if they get more than 60-70 ME given how much he has struggled. If they sign Jovic, Griezmann is going elsewhere 100%.

 

They are probably counting on selling Coutinho, Rakitić and Umtiti. Albeit, they won` get even 200M for them all. I would be surprised if they collect 150M.
