- Nacer Chadli will undergo a medical at West Bromwich Albion on Monday ahead of a club-record £13m transfer from Tottenham. The Guardian claims Belgium international Chadli could be the first of several new signings made by the Baggies in the coming days with Tony Pulis targeting four other players.

You can almost see the gears working in Levy’s head … “he’s good backup, especially with Chadli gone, but a £3 million pound profit would be silly to turn down.”
Everyone must go! Seriously, whats with the firesale? Especially this late in the window, going to make it even more difficult to bring reinforcements in (if any).
Agree. I think N'Koudou is a big transfer if only because he offers pace and a different look for the attack off the bench, which Spurs don't really have right now.
Yeah, this is not the Europa where youngsters will do. Spurs need more experience this season. Personally, I think Son will be fine if he gets regular playing time, and with the sale of Chadli, that is more likely.
15.06 BST: Sky Sports News reports that Tottenham Hotspur have rejected Wolfsburg's offer for Heung-Min Son and that they will not sell the South Korea forward this summer.
Hull City have signed midfielder Ryan Mason from Tottenham for what they describe as a "club record undisclosed fee". Mason had attracted interest from Sunderland but has opted to join former Spurs players Tom Huddlestone, Jake Livermore and Michael Dawson at the KCOM Stadium.
OK plenty of money in the pot - please spend a bit of it now, Levy an AM to compete with Eriksen, and a pacey winger that doesn't always cut in to the middle 100% of the time would be nice things to have
Levy leaving it to the last minute again or as is more the case lately, not doing a thing and saying Mauricio is happy with the squad he has.
I think an Aguero/Rossi end to the transfer window is likely here. Keep Isco/Bazoer/Sissoko in the press, and when those deals don't come to fruition they can say it wasn't through a lack of effort.
It can be so hard to accept ownership is interested in anything more than scrapping for 4th and respectable showings in Europe. I have this awful feeling last season will be one of those peaks when Levy should have gambled, but instead retained the status quo.
Hasn't this been said every year about simply making the top 4? Yet each season there's an opportunity to break into it, and in the case of last season, a chance to win. With the influx of money to all the teams resulting in more quality players in smaller teams, I think the standings are only going to get more volatile. There are many many talented players, and the epl TV money means that a newly promoted team immediately has a larger budget than top teams in sub top five leagues. So while it's unlikely that a relegation fighting team turns around to win the league again, I would still expect a lot more losses and draws by top teams to teams that in the past anything less than three points against was an embarrassment.
you'd think with the net profit on the Yedlin, Pritchard, Chadli and Mason transfer sales, and the increase in tv money, and the CL money, that Spurs woulda been more proactive this summer if the Marseilles deal finalizes, I guess i'll be mildly satisfied with the day
