Finally got a win on the road, now another tough road game in San Antonio. But the Strikers have proven they can hang with these new kids in first place, we should have beaten them twice, both at home and away.
We invite EVERYONE to come out and watch the game as part of the Flight 19 Soccer Lock In at The Futbol Club(2300 W Copans Road in Pompano). Admission is $10, with half of the proceeds going to benefit the Little Feet charity. We're also doing a $1 raffle with lots of cool prizes to win, also benefiting LF. Your $10 gets you in all night for pick up soccer until 8AM.
Hope to see everyone there(play hooky from Duffy's :D )!!

    Herron with the red.

We need at least 4 points out of our next two games versus Atlanta. Wynalda has them much improved but Edmonton took it to them today.

Strikers in 5th place, tied with Carolina @ 24 points, 8 points above Edmonton and 2 points behind 4 place Stars and 9 points out of 1st.

TB can hate us more after last night. A Striker win would have put them in 1st place. Some consolation to us for the loss, I guess...;)

We now have five of the last 9 games at home. Hopefully we'll get enough points from those to get us into the playoffs. Unfortunately our road record gives me no hope of advancing out of the 1st round if we do make the playoffs. Since that's a long way away in September/October and this is a very well balanced league and anything can happen in NASL Div 2 we'll have to wait and see how this all plays out. With a bit of luck even the Strikers still have a chance to finish in 1st place, but they must start getting some road wins to do it. It looks to an interesting run to the playoffs. We'll see.

Crap result from the boys. <insert standard rant about red cards and inability to get it done away from home here>

In much more positive news from Saturday, the F19 Soccer Lock In event was a success, we had a good crowd show up at The Futbol Club, good fun was had by all and we raised $200+ for Little Feet!
