St.Louis Soccer Alliance

At the beginning of this year, a group of dedicated soccer fans gathered together
to form a group dedicated to bringing professional outdoor soccer back to St.Louis as
well as lifting the significance and importance of St.Louis soccer back to what it once was.

The group calls itself the St.Louis Soccer Alliance (STLSA) and it's members include:
GM of the St.Louis Lions (PDL), GM/Owner of the Illinois Piasa (PASL), the author of the
book "Soccer Made In St.Louis", the editor/operator of the soccer blog Floodplain Footy,
the editor/operator of the soccer blog SoccerSTL.net, the President of the American Outlaws-
St.Louis Chapter, and members of the supporters group The St.Louligans.
The group also has the full support of Bill McDermott (longtime TV soccer analyst), Tom Schwarz
(host of the STL United Saturday Soccer Show), Tom Heinemann (current Columbus Crew Forward), as well as SLYSA (St.Louis Youth Soccer Association).

The group's first campaign is leading a petition drive. The petition is for full support of a professional outdoor soccer team and gives the signee the choice to select support for a
1) MLS team or 2)a team at the next highest level. The STLSA will continue the campaign
until the end of August and hopes to present the signed petitions to the commissioners of the
respective leagues as well as any potential investors/owners.

I'll use this thread for any discussions and questions anyone might have about the group and to post any updates on events or news pertaining to soccer in St.Louis. We can make this happen!
