I knew you would say something crazy about that, I guess that's your opinion the fact is man has cover soccer for over 30 years and is a credible reporter who last year predicted that St.Louis was getting an indoor soccer team from the MISL. Maybe if you were credible yourself your own blog which your not.
DO YOU LIVE IN ST. LOUIS???? The man has cover St. Louis Soccer for over 30 years and has more insight than you.
I lived in out and out in St. Louis. David Lange I've known for a long time. He has his own show has been writing about soccer in St. Louis since the early 1970s. His pieces on soccer have appeared in publications such as The Sporting News, Soccer America magazine, World Class Coaching magazine, the St. Louis Globe-Democrat and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. I rather listen to David Lange rather than a wanker.
Wank this, idiot. You've done nothing since you got here but send up hopes that Tony Galvin decides to lose more money by moving his PDL team to the pro level. You add nothing. You have nothing. You don't know how anything works, you're just a myopic fanboy. St. Louis has had indoor teams before that have drawn well and teams that have not. There is no or relation to the outdoor game, the chances for MLS, or anything else. St. Louis' chances of getting an outdoor anything depend on someone seeing the possibility of making money with an outdoor pro team. Indoor soccer has ******** all to do with it. Trust whoever you like. But you're wrong and so is he.
Well sir, looks like I"m going to be proven right because next month the USL Pro is set to award a team in St. Louis. http://www.soccermadeinstlouis.com/..._MISLs_Ambush,_PDLs_Glavin_working_on_it.html
This is correct information. The St.Louis Lions and St. Louis Ambush are joining forces for a USL Pro team to start as early as this Spring. Members of the St.Louis Soccer Alliance have confirmed this.
Great news they will share offices and training facilities with The Ambush tight window to get this done Do they have a name yet or a MLS partner?
I'm not criticizing Glavin, who has done a fantastic job keeping the Lions going and whose heart is 100% in the right place. But I can't help but worry that Lindenwood Stadium is a doomed location for a USL Pro team. That team would need support from across St. Louis's fractious soccer community, and a location in the far northwestern corner of the metro area won't help.
Glavin wants to build a stadium in Maryland Heights, MO. http://www.soccermadeinstlouis.com/..._MISLs_Ambush,_PDLs_Glavin_working_on_it.html
Well talking about new stadiums is standard for USLPRO expansion (and NASL expansion when I think about it). But how many of the plans will actually happen?
I'm sorry, but is the guy writing that article paid by USL? He's drinking some stiff kool-aid for sure
Good for you. "Although they have not formally applied for ownership." So they'll be the first team ever to be awarded without applying? What should they be trying to expand into, if not markets? Is it the market or the speed? Because it's not that fast, soccer-wise.
What should they be trying to expand into, if not markets? Is it the market or the speed? Because it's not that fast, soccer-wise.[/quote] ok you got my poor wording. I think it is just the speed that worries me. Yes the NASL is moving as fast, but letting their franchises actually have a longer time to begin.
No! He's a credible writer who has written for 40 years and was told by Tony Glavin and the owner of the St.Louis Ambush that they intend have a USL Pro team in 2014.
I'm not questioning if they are applying for a franchise, I'm talking about this guys whole 'Look at Orlando being considered for MLS because they are in the USL. If we're in USL, that's the best door to MLS for us!'
True but for right now it's more likely that St. Louis will be in USL Pro League because the St.Louis Ambush of the MISL has decided to provide funding to Tony Glavin's PDL team to run a year long soccer team. Perhaps we could be seeing a third party that could help funding for the team to move up to Major League Soccer.
