i actually like Fuellkrug but hes injured. he recent said he's able to make a comeback before season ends
I wonder if there's some scouting issue within Loew's crew? when Fuellkrug and Selke scored 10+ goals, they chose Petersen becoz he scored a few more. Then Uth who isnt really effective in a 1-striker formation. (plays better with two) Uth and Petersen arent young either. and of course both dont impress this season
I think Loew should be more open in terms of trying out strikers for NT. Call up some unproven ones but with some attributes that can help the NT in future also helps. Like Italy chose Moise Kean and Pellegri, England chose Mason Mount (more like an AM).........if u see some need and potential then we can take more risk there. We have nothing to lose. U see bright prospect then u give it a go It helps the stock of the players too, maybe more pressure towards the coach to use the player, media n fans attention can also be a thing. I am not against choose strikers like Arp or Serra or whoever that is. They might be the future. Even Weydandt, i see something he can provide for the team: he's not only big and strong but also fairly quick with his feet, relatively efficient in front of goal. HE might be playing for a struggling side but we can use a player like him especially coming off the bench. Just try more and bring in more players, we are a rebuilding team. Not strikers like Petersen or Uth, we need to build for future and the old way no longer works Should take more risks at the striker position. All we need is one or two solutions, outside Timo Werner whos mainly for counters. Selke Volland, Weydandt, Serra, Arp why not give it a try ? Just a game or two to see how it feels
Waldschmidt scores his 7th of season for Freiburg. Getting closer to attaining a breakthrough target of 10
very great finish, very good chance he'll hit 10 min, while Serra reached double digits today for Kiel in 2BL.
Apparently Kleindienst had a meniscus surgery with no expected time frame of return. So pretty much on the verge of a lost season https://rp-online.de/sport/fussball...ster-gegner-sc-freiburg-im-check_aid-37102317
Uth is one of the Schalke players who are allowed to leave this summer if the right offer comes along. Wonder where he would be a fit. Probably not likely that he returns to Hoffenheim http://www.fussballtransfers.com/bu...-elf-spieler-durfen-ihre-koffer-packen_101575
Uth to be left off Schalke's roster due to disciplinary reasons http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...eicht-uth-harit-und-mendyl-aus-dem-kader.html Domenico Tedesco will not include Amine Harit, Hamza Mendyl, and Mark Uth in the squad for the match against Bremen. Nice guy but shame that Lennart Thy is a poor striker. He's still unable to find his way with PEC Zwolle
Volland is clearly the best German striker at this moment if we consider this season’s performance...too bad that he didn’t have an assist in his name today due to the ruled out Bellarabi goal

Mark Uth skips out on a training session and will be left out of Schalke's squad completely again for their CL match vs City http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...g-verzichtet-schalke-nimmt-uth-nicht-mit.html
Ginczek to return to training at the end of March and wants to be ready for the match vs Dortmund after the international break. He hopes to play at least 5 or 6 of the final games to finish the season https://www.ligainsider.de/mobile/daniel-ginczek_485/trainingseinstieg-ende-maerz-geplant-265626/
Petersen is also doing pretty well this season, pretty consistent. Kruse (blacklisted by Low) not too shabby while Stindl's season post long term injury hasn't been too great. Hennings doing well enough for a guy who's been a career 2BL player. that's your 30+ year old strikers. The other guy Wagner is now in China and blacklisted himself lol.
Article on the decline of Uth this season. Looks like his recent falling out with Tedesco has to do with character and attitude issues https://rp-online.de/sport/fussball...h-ist-ploetzlich-ein-problemfall_aid-37408045
