Must win game, there really isn't much else to add. Eric Dier, Mousa Dembélé, Victor Wanyama, Jan Vertonghen and Danny Rose are out, with Hugo Lloris suspended.
must win, indeed. I hope we somehow manage to scrape through the group, but if we don't I damn well want to finish 3rd. I've already secured airfare to be over in April (at only $470 - score!) and there'll be EL quarterfinals (as well as CL fixtures) during my stay. and at any rate, I just like being in Europe, so come on you Spurs! we'd better make a fist of it, or i'll be reyt grumpeh. at least I'm off this afternoon, so I'll be able to watch it.
You may very well be grumpeh, because as we have seen in the past, Poch doesn't really give a flying fadoo about the Europa League and we may be out of it by April!
Here are the teams! Us: Gazzaniga, Aurier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Davies, Winks, Eriksen, Dele, Lucas, Son, Kane (C). Subs: Vorm, Trippier, Skipp, Walker-Peters, Sissoko, Lamela, Llorente Them: Zoet; Dumfries, Schwaab, Viergever, Angelino; Rosario, Hendrix, Pereiro, Bergwijn; De Jong; Lozano Subs: Room, Sainsbury, Behich, Ramselaar, Guti, Mauro, Malen Lozano and Malen gave us trouble last game - surprisingly, Malen is on the bench.
Another bonehead play by Aurier - letting the ball go for a corner when it clearly came off our player.
Lozano is killing us again - Eriksen gives the ball away to him and then Davies cleans him out for a free kick.
Eriksen and Deli miss 2 sitters in rapid succession. Again, our lack of ruthlessness in front of goal is appaling.
30 minutes in and exactly like the first game, we are dominating but behind because we can't defend set pieces.
