I'm pretty sure they wanted to feel local. Very local. I think Spurs wants to be a neighborhood-based team with international following and this fits that marketing angle. You had representation of the old guard of Spurs tradition and the residents of the community. I thought it was beautiful.
Dele has been fantastic so far. Eriksen, not so much, his touch and shot have let him down several times today

absolute dominance in the half, but poor decisions on final ball, and poor touches in the end have left it 0-0 at half sissoko and dele look to be the ones making things happen
Yeah I get that... It makes sense with the stadium impact on the community. I still think they could've done that and pushed it though. Definitely an emotional night for the club... Thinking back to the days when it looked like the stadium wasn't going to happen, or we'd end up moved or sharing the Olympic stadium with Wet Spam. Couldn't be happier with the result and can't wait to see a game there.
