It's back to Florida at the end of a long week for what could be a crucial match (or not, if the Cosmos win their game, which starts an hour before Indy's). Miami is truly dreadful, which makes this (a cynic would say) the kind of game in which Indy struggles. Ring and Palmer are still out with injuries; Ubi and Janicki are questionable (although they've made the trip south).
HT 0-0. Need to do better in the second half. We're playing like Miami sims good team. This approach worked against Minnesota (which actually is a good team). It didn't work against Jacksonville (which isn't), and it's not working now.
That's draws in consecutive weeks against two of the worst teams in the league. On the road, yes. But with the championship on the line, they played timidly and defensively. Bringing on Keller for Zayed says it all, really.
Agreed, I'm putting this on Hankinson. He needed to make an aggressive move in the last 20. Instead he left the tired players out there, and settled for a tie.
As a Liverpool, fan looking back om 2008-09 and 2013-14, I'm painfully aware that there are no trophies for second place. What's the point of playing it safe?
