That's right ... the 2 upcoming Minnesota games had me confused a bit. Probably not a bad idea to get some guys some MLS minutes (or USL minutes) before being thrown out for a full 90 against our Open Cup opponent. I would hope to see Belmar, Gerso, Lindsay, Didic, Amor, maybe Hernandez/Kuzian/Busio midfield.
Yeah, sorry, I didn't mean to say they needed USL minutes. I was just saying that group could do well in the Open Cup if they all got minutes, Gerso and Lindsay need some minutes prior to that 1st Open Cup game ideally. Gerso likely gets them with Russell out (please no Croizet on the wing) and Lindsay may need to get them with USL.
Sporting announced today that Russell is only going to the Mexico game, meaning he's not traveling to Lima for the Peru game. He'll miss Minnesota on the 2nd though.
