Hopefully the international call ups will be available for the KC game. Panama starts their training camp in Copenhagen on the 18th...hope we have Cummings.
Working to get green cards on other players (including Marie).........not touched any of their Discretionary TAM ...........have other TAM money as well......can easily buy down Wondo..........have plenty of money to sign a DP.....Soria rooting for Mexico at World Cup......he's not really a huge Quakes fan.........the team was very disappointed to give up the two goals against Minnesota.....team felt it did not feel like the win it should have......though Soria impressed with Quakes....agrees with Warshaws analysis....referred to the Quakes attack as a "weapon"....worried the Quakes could get overwhelmed by SKC in the midfield (surprise! surprise!)....ex-Dundee United/Derby County forward Johnny Russell SKC's most dangerous player. Keys to Victory against SKC: Soria: 1. Magnus disrupting SKC's midfield, drop deep, interchange with Lima 2. Give Hoesen a look at goal 3. Flo needs to shield his back line better than he did in the MNUFC game Sperry: 1. Get Hoesen the ball 2. Fullbacks not get caught too far forward. (like Salinas against MNUFC) 3. Stay organized, disciplined!
Well, the TAM info is interesting, if it's true. > 3. Stay organized, disciplined! Hmm, where have I heard that before?
Yeah, that too. Used to drive me nuts because it makes players play tight and conservative and actually increases the chance they'll make a mistake because they're thinking about not making a mistake rather than playing naturally and instinctively. But to me "play disciplined" is not much different. That said, it was the podcasters who said it (by way of Earthshaker), not Stahre (though he may say it also).
At this point he's been around a long time. I remember when he was going to be the next big thing in blues but didn't seem to work out quite that way.
Was programming my DVR for the game tomorrow. I am a DIsh customer and have had no issues getting all the games in the past. However, this time I see that the game is on Comcast Sports Bay Area at 6:30 PM but "joined in progress". Huh? Why are we not getting the whole game? The game starts at 5:30 PDT. There is only an hour slotted on the guide so maybe we only get the second half? WTF? For those of you on Comcast cable or DirecTV, do you see the same on your program guides?
As was stated earlier in this thread, this game will be broadcast on NBC Sports Bay Area Plus. Golden State Warriors related programming, followed by a Warriors game itself, is scheduled for pretty much the latter half of the day on NBC Sports Bay Area. I hope that helped. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
I thought the last question, what's your favorite band, was especially brutal. The bit about we have a ton of TAM cash lying around is excellent. We will be able to score another DP in the summer transfer window. That's great news. Getting pumped for the Sporks game. I think we have a chance. We'll have to be organized, and stay focused for the full 90, unlike last match. But I expect our offense to score at two or three goals. That would be really good. Still not sold on Tarbell as our starting GK. And I still want to see more of Tommy, Jackson, and Hyka. Maybe not starting yet, but they need to get more minutes. Go Quakes!! - Mark
Mine still says the same on channel 447, starting at 6:30 pm and ending at 7:30. So we only get the 2nd half? There is nothing schedule before it either. Weird. I set my recorder to start 1 hour early just in case they show the entire thing.
They seem to be enforcing blackouts still. I couldn't stream the one game that was on TV last week, and it wasn't even local. I wouldn't count on streaming the local games without a proxy and maybe even a new MLS account that dissembles about your home location.
From my memory, the times I've had blackout issues in the past was only for nationally televised games (like on Telemundo or ESPN). I want to say away games on local TV weren't a problem, but maybe my memory is just bad...
This game should not be blacked out on mlslive. Mlssoccer doesn't show any national broadcasts. Away games are usually not a problem.
I'm planning on going to the official viewing party at the Whole Foods brew pub in downtown San Jose. Let them worry about where to find the telecast.
For any home games up until May: I’m hoping to experience the BMW club and all of its glory before I make a move across the country for a period of time. I’d love to buy 4 tickets off of any individuals who plan on not attending a game ^.^ We’re also planning a trip to the Vancouver and LA games towards the end of May. If there’s any quake fans at those games, it would be awesome to sit with friendly faces.
