Better team won. 3 points. Should’ve been a route, finishing needs to be better. Don’t give the refs the chance to steal the game. Gonna be hard to overcome this but just keep winning and we’ll give ourselves a chance. Liked what Leão and Lumor brought coming into the game. Lumor has a ton of pace and Leão looks strong on the ball. They both almost created goals right away. William came alive and was solid in the midfield later in the game. Fredy despite the goal has been bad, borderline useless. And Doumbia is something else. The guy makes me nervous with his first touch it’s either trash or can spring him free. I dunno if he needs time or what but I’m not overly confident in him.
Doumbia's career has alternated between seasons with lots of goals and seasons with almost nothing. He seems to be hit or miss which is probably why he never made it to the big teams. The team also has to play different with him up front - we can't keep crossing high floating balls into the box because he isn't Dost.
Yeah I noticed that in our last game, we only play 2 or 3 balls made for Doumbia all game. Big surprise he would find the back of the net on one played today.
Let’s be fair here about Doumbia. He had plenty of chances today, scored a clean goal, and even had a nice header that the keeper made a Superman save on. He was great today. He missed two sitters but how many sitters has Dost missed?
