I thought we had a thread like this, but I can't find it.
In case you missed it, PBP, aka Pasadena Pete and Choc, is now the LAG GM.

My homie Andy Craven has moved from OKC Energy and landed at F.C. Cincinnati.

Oba is next. And I’ll be damned if he signs with Portland

Seriously? Sounders had better get Oba. Maybe we can trade Will Bruin for top allocation spot? Heh.

I don't see it happening because of Jordan Morris. Lo and behold we won the league without Oba, which we've able to acquire Nico.

I haven't caught any of the preseason matches so far. What formation have they been using? When they traded for Bruin I figured that would bump Morris out to a winger position. Have they been doing that? Or has he been playing forward.

Apparently, t'ain't necessarily so. Morris started up top and was replaced by That Guy I Keep Wanting to Call Weaver (also a former Dynamo) Even Though He Is Way Better Than Weaver. I would like to see Morris and Weaver, er, Bruin on the field at the same time, or, sure, Oba and Morris, but SAH gave Flaco, who would be pushed to the bench in my proposed lineup, high praise. I'm not sure I am seeing it. Flaco has a way of looking like he is doing a lot without accomplishing much. OTOH, if Nico likes having his fellow Celeste around, there is something to be said for keeping Nico happy.

No. Morris is starting up top and Bruin is coming in later when fatigue sets in.

    The starters against Charleston were:
    Morris
    Flaco-Deuce-Lodeiro
    Roldan-Delem
    Jones-Marshall-Torres-Barnes
    Miller

I'm in a minority, I'm sure, but I consider Bruin very overrated and expect Houston to score a ton more goals with El Cubo or some other striker on the field this year.

Not a world beater or anything, but I expect he will score more than Valdez, and I think Morris is better playing off someone like him. He does combine well with others. And pushing Flaco to the bench would be addition by subtraction, IMO.

I am with you on that.

Also, I am really looking for Roldan and Ozzie to make up a stout double-6.

The write up from SAH about the night for Zach Scott Man Marker Sexy Beast. Apparently his kid put two in. Were any of you there?

Fredy doing well with our un-hated rival on his debut.
