That had to be the worst acted scene that I have ever seen on sons of anarchy. Wow! That was terrible. Completely unconvincing to the point of my wincing and then laughing at a catastrophic failure to convey a distraught father. Just terrible. I never realized what a bad actor Kim Coates is.
Because you know how someone would act when their daughter is being burned to death in front of them?
An interview with Kim Coates about the scene and how it was shot: http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1693672/sons-of-anarchy-season-premiere.jhtml
I know about the trauma to one's psyche and the anxiety suffered when your child is in critical condition and Coates acting was stiff wooden and completely lacking in credibility. It was not believable. Under that situation his desperation to change places with his daughter which any parent would feel was not palpable to me. So I may not know about burning by I know about life and death situations.
Agreed. That should have been an absolutely phenomenal scene. Instead, it was bad to the point of distraction.
You could see it coming. Opie was asking for it from the moment he hit the Sheriff. He was watching out for Jax. Felix it was sad and shocking. I was hoping Opie would be able to take them all out with the tie-iron. Gemma taking it out on the young prostitute was not cool at all. She is such a horrible person. The same with her getting Jax's ex Wendy involved by calling on Tara.
Opie has always been one of my favs, if not my favorite character on the show. I've got two kids and been involved in some bad shit in the past so I have always felt his pain and viewpoint. I hope there is a storyline involving what happens to his kids and it doesnt get ignored. I wonder if Jax will adopt them.
The actor that played half sack was found dead: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/...ad-dies-sons-of-anarchy-murder_n_1918838.html
It's gotten stupid. On any level the idea that Clay would orchestrate the home invasions is ridiculous. Why bring that level of attention on the club? The risk involved in possibly being caught is tremendous. Clearly there are other ways to undermine Jax.
He's desperate and desperate people do desperate things. He has lost all the other members of the club so he cannot look to them. Also, I am thinking there are other reasons for the home invasions than too undermine Jax. Something is up with that safe and contents of it.
For the most part the attacks focused on people related to the club, directly or indirectly... That is until the Sheriff's wife was attacked. And I agree with Felixx, they emptied the safe and gave Clay the contents.
Yet magically this season we have three or four guys I do not recall ever having seen before. The very ones Clay recruited for the home invasions. Clay looking for the letters written by Jax's father no doubt.
They're Nomads that joined the Redwood chapter, I believe two of them were scene in past episodes. I know one definitely has.
In the first episode of the season we saw them voted in. I hate that they killed Roosevelt's wife. So stupid.
Magically? They're nomads that were nominated to join the SAMCRO in the season in the season premiere and voted in. One of the actors was an actual Hell's Angel. Why would Clay be looking for the letters that John wrote to Jax in his own safe? Are you talking about the same letters that have already done enough damage? Why would those letters be in Clay's safe and why do they matter now? It is pretty obvious if you have been paying attention to the show that it has something to do with birth certificates since that is what was shown in the premier.
