well, Lucas sure as hell didn't help his cause today. lost the ball several times and didn't take several of his chances very well. esp the one Eriksen set him up for. FA Cup or not, this Spurs' "Golden Generation" needs to feel what it's like to lift silverware. getting past United would be a huge step towards that.
4 games left and tottenham only 5 points ahead of chelsea... watch tottenham drop down to 5th before end of season LOL

It's a trend in top (english) football that the back up goalie get the domestic cup games. A reward for him, making it easier to sign and keep happy a quality second choice. Poch did put Lloris back in the time we got a final though, so guess we'll see should we win today
truth be told tho, Hugo has been questionable on too many outings these days. if i'm Spurs, I want Vorm starting anyways. what's somewhat interesting today is that Spurs play out of the away room.
Though lucas moura was coming on for son but davies comes off. Bold move by poch. Wonder what the shape is now Edit: dier comes down into cb position, vertongen is fullback and eriksen plays next to dier. so shape remains largely unchanged.
this is so Spursy. Kane seems to have come back too quickly. the team as a whole have not been the same since he's come back. other than what Eriksen's been able to create, they're off in the final third. United's big men stepped up when it counted. regardless of what Eriksen, Dele and Sonny do, you need your best player to step up in the big games and Kane has picked the worst time to have lost his edge. Poch made some brave subs, but this is another negative notch on his list.
Somehow looks like the key players lost their forms. The Alderweireld story has definitely made a negatie impact. Just pay those players properly ffs.
Today is one of the few days I thought Poch SHOULD have taken off Son earlier. He was pretty dreadful apart from a couple of good runs and same goes to Kane and Dembele. And completely agree with that bit. Players like Sanchez are expected to lead the team, and he did exactly that today. Great performance from him today.
yeah agree about Sonny. he did have a very good 1st half though. don't know if he picked up a knock but the 2nd, he was visibly a shadow of what he was in the 1st half. Poch showed some real loyalty today toward Son. Pogba deserved being screamed at for trotting back on Dele's goal, but on the other side of the pitch he was ridiculously strong on the ball. he was vital to them. but United have the team on paper where Sanchez and Pogba can show up and Lukaku can be invisible. or vice versa. Spurs otoh, are too reliant on Kane. when he was out, they even played better for a good stretch. At any given time they had Eriksen, Dele, Sonny, Lamela and Lucas all on the pitch at the same time with Eriksen running the show. now with Kane back, they hesitate for moments. often one moment too long to kill off the movement. smh...
