As bad as Lamela was, Delle in the first half was worse imo. Watching Dier was like watching a white version of JHS. Horrible. How frustrated must Wanyama be watching that from the bench? The most egregious mistake is to play Sanchez ahead of a healthy Toby in a big match like that... Sanchez played like he was on the KNT. Hell he actually played like he did against the KNT a couple of months ago in last night's match.
can't be surprised with Dier anymore. he's regressed. maybe not right in the head from being switched around from CB to MF so many times in high pressure matches but he's been steaming pile for better part of the season. Davinson though was shocking yesterday. the only thing that kept him relevant and avoided further embarrassment was his speed (closing). his positioning was brutal and he played so many guys ONside. the one thing he does have on his side tho, is that he's only 21. but Toby gone, Rose probably too and still no proper replacement for Walker and it's gonna get harder and harder for Poch to play high press... if they want to lift trophies, don't think Trippier, Aurier or even Davies are the answer. like you said, it's crazy that they are sitting on Alderweireld.
talk of it has died down these days. Good and obvious swap. Shaw had his best season under Poch and Rose has been want-away for a couple of seasons. Doesn't look like Rose will ever get back to his best tho does it? And Shaw has to be shattered between the ears after what Mourinho did to him. Poch would have to build him back up. And hard to rate him on only 1 good season - kid never plays for ManUre so who knows what he's capable of? 2 misfits.
Not sure if this was brought up, but Juve also wore yellow in the first leg... GG Sweden, SHM is scoring 3.

SHM needs to change up his skill repertoire...that stepover sequence is going to get less and less effective the larger his profile gets.
Tottenham attacking primarily down the right side. SHM wanting the ball and drifting centrally. Also, as a manager, I would be so aggravated if a throw-in caused a turnover. There's really no excuse to try 50/50 long balls from a throw-in.

they're missing their flow. chemistry is off. everyone is so eager to bag one for themselves, passes are little heavier, timing is off, guys making good runs are no longer being spotted or looked out for.... been that way since Stoke. at least for the big Semi this weekend, United come in out of sorts as well after a brutal showing.
