there's a gif of it above. it was shortly after son scored his first goal. SHM was leading an attack down the right wing and put in a cross that was deflected for a corner kick. it looks like alli wanted a cutback pass or an earlier ball. SHM looks to be yelling "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?! WHAT?! HEY!! FCUKING A. ..... WHAT?! WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?!"
we have such a clinical finisher. we have never had such a clinical finisher in korean football. lest we not take a moment for granted
let's face it, all those Bundesliga years we've all been following his every move, we would have never expected this level of consistency in top flight football. what an incredible season he is having. let's see how he handles the pressure going forward with FA Cup and Top 4 table to finish out the season. if he can maintain something close to his present form (7 goals in 4 games is ridiculous), he will become a Yid legend. even if HK had not twisted his ankle, he would have been heavily relied upon.
After learning the origin of this chant, I'm appreciating it a lot more. Also helps that the entire ground was catching on with Son's chant as well.
Could give two shits about Son getting attention. He’s getting plenty as is. Need him to be at his best for a long summer at the WC and hopefully at the Asian Games.
wonderful support from the away stand. broke out Sonny's chant. Wembley will run with it now. will be fun to hear 70,000 sing it.
Work rate isn't what it used to be. Can't believe that Son is being praised for his work rate when he contributes so little defensively. Ben Davies was left out of the match day squad on the weekend. Considering how little help he gets from Son, it's not hard to understand why.
We need Son to be a top line forward for our NT. No more of this winger crap. He needs to be the center forward or 1 of the two forwards in 2-forward formation. He's by far the best clinical scorer we have.
It always pissed me off when Alli would criticize SHM's decision making, especially when Alli makes some questionable decisions himself. I'm glad he's basically telling Alli now that he's the baddest m'f***er on the team and he'll give the ball when he wants. That's my interpretation at least, might be a little off. You can tell by Alli's body language that he backed off immediately.
or in some false 9 capacity for if he's left alone up top, we'll be the Son Heung-min team and they'll mark him out of the match. at this pt, anyone who will play us will come in with the "Just take Sonny out of the match and they don't have enough weapons to hurt us." mentality. but all wishful thinking no? as if STY will have the balls to use Sonny properly, let alone move him around to protect him half to half.

Glad that one of our players is finally getting a proper English chant that isn't laced with racist undertones.
#thfc A piece on Son, who in the space of two weeks has almost entirely banished his reputation for being a bad finisher of 1v1s. https://t.co/PQpjPOG5sX— Dan Kilpatrick (@Dan_KP) March 12, 2018
I would never want our NT to play a False 9 strategy. However, Son has developed so much that he can definitely play False 9 now and is the best option for it. But I still want to advise against our KNT for False 9.
Why is this forum so obsessed with Son at 9, when we saw how well that worked for Hazard midweek (and lets be honest, our opposition is far more like Barcelona compared to us than Bournemouth) and in a season where Salah is tied with Kane in the race for the golden boot.
