The forward has signed a contract with the Club until 2020.

The South Korea international originally moved to Germany as a teenager and came through the ranks at Hamburger SV, scoring on his Bundesliga debut in October 2010 against 1. FC Köln.

A consistent goalscorer throughout his time in Germany, Son went on to make 78 appearances and score 20 times for Hamburg before joining Bayer Leverkusen in June, 2013.

He has helped them to Champions League qualification in each of his two seasons and made a total of 87 appearances, scoring 29 times at BayArena.

The 23-year-old is also a regular at international level with 11 goals in his 44 appearances for South Korea to date, including scoring against Algeria at the 2014 World Cup Finals.

He will wear the number 7 shirt with ‘Son’ on his back.

Was (and still am) a bit disappointed that he left Germany but I gotta say, the prospect of watching a SHM vs LCY or SHM vs KSY match is pretty darn exciting..

I'm gonna miss Son being at Leverkusen :(, but at least I can look forward to watching him crush FC Wengerski now. And, it's a sure thing I finally grabbed a Leverkusen 지급용 kit (Gonna cherish it).

A sign that this deal may have been a bit longer in brewing than portrayed. Can't decide if it's a good thing that pressure of decision may have influenced his play or worried how pressure of big city club and British press will not make it an easy switch

I hope they learned their lesson not to put something like "Asian fullback" in a picture like they did in that LYP picture. Technically true but wtf...

It just means SHM and his advisors are good at what they do. He left HSV quickly and painlessly. And now this transfer was done quietly without any leaks until it couldn't be wrapped under covers this week.

KSY's moves latest moves have tended to go through without all the drama as well.

Sons agent is certainly discreet when doing deals but he doesn't mind loudly advertising his clients in fairly embarrassing fashion ;)

My kids who are into Harry Potter have been pressuring me for a trip to London for a while now. Maybe it's near time to do so.

Scoring tickets at White Heart Lane is a pain. And not the greatest area either... That being said, trying to see him go up against LCY at Palace might be equally difficult to get tickets given it's a London derby.

Hmmm... It's not like when LCY played at Bolton and there were plenty of seats for Koreans to attend...

Logistics far easier than trying to convince wife to go to Swansea or Leverkusen tho... And reality of school season means it'd be friendly season

Though Augsburg at Spurs would be very fun...

Well Arsenal fans have got it partially right. If only any medal in the Asian Olympics would do...

    Chaminator sighting in 2'39...

Love how CDR just passes it off to SHM and watches knowingly that SHM will bury it.
