It's at any quality local purveyor and might be down that aisle where the schnapps and other bitters are located. I can get it from Main Street liquors in Lagrange/Countryside and also my corner guy Brookfield Liquors has it but the other two liquor stores near me do not. I don't recall ever seeing it a Binny's but that doesn't mean it's not there...I think I was looking for other things there. I used to get it at Joe and Franks when it was at the corner of Harlem and Archer and that's where I got my first bottle. It comes in three colors for the Lithuanian flag, Red, Yellow and Green but the green tastes best for some reason...sort of like Green M&Ms. I think anyplace where you find drunk Europeans is a good place to look. Spotted Old Style Radler at my local store yesterday Has anyone tried? Have some ribs on the grill that need some accompaniment.
Nothing at all. But, I'm about to embark on a cider brewing endeavor. Just need to drive out to the apple orchard this weekend and find a home brew store for yeast and maybe some random other stuff. Any suggestions?
Yes, I have a suggestion. Eris Brewery and Cider House on Irving Park Rd. Save yourself the effort and just drink. They have about 10 really good ciders. Their food is good, as well. https://www.erischicago.com/
Couldn't make up my mind because craft beer is crazy yo and i'm sure it's all good. The stocker guy suggested this. I wonder if he's paid on commission. Pretty good though.
No, just one if their stouts. Come get the Basti beer this Saturday though! I just found out today that the yeast and the malt and/or hops for his beer came from his hometown. Pretty cool.
Might be the only way to get me to GI Clybourn again. Spent way too much money on beer this week though.
I think I shall be be making the pilgrimige to Toyota Park next Saturday just so I can try Keller 31. Wonder how expensive it will be. Also wonder if my $5 cta credit i've had in my wallet forever will get me from midway to goose island and to reggies in time for the $5 bus.
