Bourbon is good, but Louisville BBQ is better. We ate at this place we keep calling Doc McStuffins. Unbelievably good. Better update when I sober up and get some tumd.
Aye- Great Dane will likely be dinner tonight, always a good time. We actually made it to Ale Asylum last night, as we got up here later than anticipated. Definitely recommend them, based on the food and the brews. Their Nut Brown Ale (weren't we just talking about brown ales in this thread?) is pretty super, and their Oktoberfest is solid, too.
If, almost 24 hours later, you have to ask, this is the right thread. It also probably provides the answer, being the "drinking" thread after all.
Is an "everything" rubber dick much like an "everything" bagel? By the way, "everything bagels" are completely false advertising. "Everything" includes way more than just seeds, more seeds and, maybe, onion flakes. I know, take that shit to the "Food Thread."
Malort did come in second in the Poll yesterday (one behind "Raccon was busy") in a tie with abusing Ted Cruz and the hurricane improving Houston.
Had lunch at the Old Fashioned on Sunday- burgers were awesome and the tap list was also top notch. On the way home, we stopped at a place called Lucy's #7 Burger Bar in Beloit. I've been north of the Cheddar Curtain plenty of times, and I'm fairly convinced it's harder to find a bad burger there than a good one. Wife got the Burger of the Month which was stuffed with smoked gouda, cheddar and apple-cranberry chutney, I got the Wisconsinite, which was filled with beer, brats & cheddar cheese, thus earning its name. Washed it down with a Lake Louie Scotch Ale, which is a great beer and a great style. We also (of course) stocked up on all of the New Glarus we could smuggle back over the border with us without alarming customs. Oh, and I slept in and missed the half marathon, so, yeah, total win for me this weekend.
Tonight I'm mixing some of the (cheap) bourbon I brought back from Louisville and hot apple cider. I'll probably be in the West lot to avoid the mud pits if anyone wants to stop by. Go Fire!
