I think he's at Enköpings SK, but he's not on the roster page yet:

Då försvarsklippan Jay Harris försvunnit till spel i norska andraligan fick nye amerikanen Oluwisimola Abolaji ta steget in som mittback och han gjorde det riktigt bra fram till den 58:e minuten då han visades ut efter sitt andra gula kort.

He's a 1985 who played at U. of Buffalo and various clubs on this side of the ocean.

Good luck to him. I met him when he was on trial with the City Stars. He seemed like a good guy.

He is the (younger, I think) brother of Seyi Abolaji, who played at Stanford and I think in the USL, plus perhaps also abroad for a time.

There was an interview in the local paper with Chad Burt today. He says that he was surprised to find Sola Abolaji in the same club when he arrived since he knew him, although not closely, from before. The two americans will also be roommates for the duration of their time with the club. He says that he had a good season last year and received good offers from good clubs but he wanted to try something different and that he now hopes to help Myresjö/Vetlanda create goals, both by scoring them and providing assists.

Burt apparantly had a very successful time with Myresjö/Vetlanda since he according to this article was involved (either through scoring or assist) in 16 out of his teams 25 goals this season. He has however returned to north america and signed with Edmonton.

I don't know how Sola Abojali (pictured above chewing on his shirt) has done but I did notice that he showed up in some kind of local "all-star" team that played against second tier club GIF Sundsvall during their midseason break. The team was coached by previous swedish, nigerian and current icelandic national team manager Lars Lagerbäck. And the team also oddly featured the american goalkeeper Jeff Gal from the Bridges FC team that has been touring Sweden and that I've written about in other places.

USL expansion could put @iamalfred out of a job!

And so might USL rebranding -- he's joined Orange County:

Abolaji, 31 returns to the USA following an extensive spell playing in Scandinavia. The Chicago native started his career with the University of Buffalo where he was drafted by Carolina Railhawks. He then made the move to Vancouver Whitecaps FC before making the transition to Europe, joining Norwegian first division side Ullensaker/Kisa IL. He spent two years with the Norwegian outfit before swapping Norway for Sweden, competing for a number of different sides in Sweden over a four year period and most recently with Roruik IF. The robust center back also tasted US Open cup action in 2015 with Ventura County Fusion and played a key role in their victory over the L.A. Galaxy II.
