Soccer videogame soundtracks... is it just me, or are they just that good?

Started fairly early buying these. I had or have every FIFA from RTWC '98 N64 to 2003 PS2. I have every PES from 2004 to 2010 and I have 2013. It seemed/seems as tho I like every song on each release. What's interesting is, I hadn't heard any of the tunes before playing the games except Song 1 by Blur. For several years these games were the only non-jazz music I was hearing regularly.

Here's a short list of the stuff that's stayed with me even tho I'm not playing the specific game anymore. Stars for my faves.

    Fly Away- The Source/Oakenfeld *****
    Harder Ground- Stress Pill
Ai Su Te Pego- Michel Telo
    Call It Brisco- Elite Force
    Crossfader Dominator- Sniper
    Joy- Gay Dad
We Luv You- Grand Theft Auto *****
    Dreams- Savoir Adore
    Existence- ? (PES 2008)
    See Spaces- Teeth *
    Ambiguous Tea- ? (PES2008) ***
    Force- D.O.G.

My questions are: 1) Are these songs especially popular with anyone else here? 2) How do they get chosen?

I won't answer this soccer-and-music question until I see your contribution here. ;)

It ended in disaster at the feet of the Columbus Crew :( (Save 'em, BTW).
We don't play 8 games in 3 1/2 weeks, we're better rested and probably get that bye. Who knows?

I really want to finish that, but I can't quite put it together the way I wanted, because the videos aren't spliced the way I need them to be. I will give it a shot, but I'm not sure it'll be as impressive as I envisioned it.
